How's the single target for Defilers without the soul eater buff?

The single target is good but will never be insane - for non uber content its very comfortable, I was able to do Feared day 4 or 5 with only 1 death due to bad dodging on my part. It's not going to instaphase anything, high end boss wise but for 99% of the games content it feels good.

Note, i'm using Yugul/a reduced reflect ring in this setup to lazily do 8 mod corrupted City square rituals without reading map mods.

So Ive managed to get 3 Frost Bearer Spectres and I think Im in act 8 currently- crusising through the 1st 2 Izaro fights and the acts. Is the wretched defilers better than the Frost Bearers ?? Cause I really like the Frost spectres so far, but they do die now and again on tough fights.. I dont have all the required gear just yet either..

To Hellzwraith: They're very different builds. If you are newer to the game and or to spectres, I would recommend doing Forged Forstbearers - there are lots of ways to scale them, and they aren't overly complicated. I have a Forged Frostbearer trickster this league (Check my profile, Snowtoss) and he's a great all around character. There are multiple forum guides on Forged Frostbearers as well if ou look around. All you really need to start Forged Frostbearers is a Bitter Dream Unique Sceptre (purchasable for about 1c) and you're set to start!

Helped me figure out why my build was doing very low damage - with some gems swaps & most importantly positioning guidance we made it feel very good.

Turns out I missed the part about Reverse Farshot. This part is very important.

Whoa whoa whoa , So I got through the campaign with Frost Bearers , 2nd t2 map I found a Exalted Orb - sold for 13 C, was able to buy a 4OS Doryani -only 3 links though and a Wraithlord. Using Bitterdream currently and I got wretched Defilers today.. WOW - those dudes rock Hard.. First map I ran T3 took like 5 minutes and I had 4 more C dropped for me. Big thanks for this build - really Fun and Tough even though Im not fully optimized yet..

Im up to 7 spectres now - and my SPectre GEm hits 19 next level so i should get one more Specter if I remember, I'm using 2 frostbearers and 5 Wretched Defilers, working like a charm ...

What Pantheon are you using for this build ?? I'm considering Arakaali and Garukhan ???

Pantheons: Major (Soul of Lunaris) (always). My Minor i'm using Soul of Yugul along with a minions take 50% or high reduced reflected elemental damage ring to alc & go double reflect maps. Previously in the character progression, I was using Soul of Abberath to farm Red altars (burning ground immunity and I wasn't ignite immune at the time).

Pantheon wise, I recommend tailoring them to the specific content you are farming/weaknesses you have and swapping as needed, its a lot of power that is easy to change at will once you've unlocked them!

So the Boots have Unaffected by Burning Ground. I have 60% Fire, 80% Cold, 20% chaos and -6 Lightning currently. Ive been fairly lucky recently - got a normal Doryani for 20C and used the Omen that gives 6 sockets - I was only able to 4 link it so far but its very nice now. I cannot afford the Wand just yet - still using Bitterdream, but I socketed Holy Flame Totem just for some more Life replenish. Im just interested in getting into the highest Maps as I can really, I usually bog out when I get to RED maps... Or until I get to the 3rd Al Hezmin fight - I can never beat him ...
