Mouse control feels bad, constantly fighting the cast while moving
Huh.
It did feel weird and floaty at first, but I kinda got used to it and now its kinda nice? I do like how it lets you stay on the move even while casting, makes it easier to dodge stuff if you don't have to fully stop movement to do a cast. Also thematically it feels really nice on a ice spellcaster, makes it feel like you're turning the world around you to ice and gliding along the icy surface while dodging your chilled enemies' slow attacks. Though really comes down to preference. It does feel like its intended, but glad there's an option for those that want a full stop when using skills. |

I agree, I also found it weird at the beginning, but it's quite a nice tool once you get used to it. Walking backwards and firing balls of fire at the enemy x3
However, I'm using shift + the setting to stop moving when attacking via shift click to stop moving whenever I want to. Despite this the mouse movement still feels odd sometimes, like... gliding sideways instead of properly walking. This also does not happen when using WASD. |

" There is in fact a toggle labeled as "always attack without moving" at the bottom of the skill panel but it DOES NOT DO what the same toggle does in Path of Exile 1. At least for spells I've tried so far. Or it is bugged. Please don't spread misinformation, especially as a VP. my hovercraft is full of eels

Yeh 100% i dnt mind it going up in difficulty, also why no teleport or anything early on. And definetly the movement when casting is abs terrible been trying to fix that the enite time and then ads fixes it but who wants to use ads on an arpg. seems more optimised for controllers.

I dislike the momentum and movement while casting im always gliding past my firewall too since it doesnt cast far enough away |

I play this games for 25 years or more, close to 30 now. I CAN'T AND WILL NOT learn your new stuff cause you thought "it's more fun" or w/e you thought. It's in my subconscious, my reflexes - when you cast you STOP. Make this simple option for us. PLEASE. |

" It doesn't work, what we want is your character stands still when using abilities, stops sliding all over. I too am a middle aged arthritis gamer and cant play WASD even though I think it looks great for people who can. WASD to me just replaced Piano Flask to me so its out of the question. If you are holding move only down and cast an ability the character will keep moving in that direction. In poe1 the character stops moving even if held down as most spell casting was stationary. We are just asking for the ability to set stationary casting on. When casting an ability the character stops moving. I hold down leftclick alot and use keyboard for most skills and my character just keeps moving the direction im holding which makes my character constantly walk right into enemy packs when casting. We just want our character to stop walking forward/at all when using skills. Just give us the option, even if you think it gimps us I promise you its better than constantly walking forward into enemy's melee. |
