/DEATHS command

I feel what NCPereira is talking about.

Having a death count affects alot of perfectionist or even compulsive players.
It offers a negative feeling that something is out there counting exactly how many times you failed.
There's proof of your fails.

It serves no positive purpose.
It serves plenty negative purposes.

I'm a perfectionist and quite compulsive. I play HC and default. To me, proof of my failures is more important than proof of success. Without it there would be an ocean of uncertainty. Even if it wasn't there your unconscious mind would still try to count how many times you've died.

Seriously, if you don't want to then don't use it.
Brutus. Do you even sync?

OP, I don't want to sound flippant or offensive, but you should recognize that this thread is not a healthy line of thought. Behaviour like deleting an endgame character because of 5 deaths is throwing up huge red flags for me. As tempting as it is to want to erase the past, we have to live with it in order to learn what to do in the future. I sincerely hope you are dealing with whatever underlying issues with either a therapist or someone else who has experience with OCD, because it's constant struggle that is only made harder when facing it alone. Sorry if this is too personal for you, but I've lost some of my favorite people to their compulsions, so seeing a post with this behaviour is personal for me.
As someone who is obsessed with statistics like that, I would be very sad. If anything, I wish there were even more stats tracked in-game. Monster kills, steps taken, distance traveled, life lost, mana spent, stuff like that.

I think I have been reading forums too long- it strikes me as incredibly hilarious if they were to replace the /deaths command with a random number generator.

"

/deaths
"What I died 234937 times already?! But how!"
/deaths
"And now it's only 46 deaths! AAAGG! And I'm in the HARDCORE LEAGUE!"

People care about meaningless numbers too much.

they should enable that function on the first of april :)
There is one face that I need to bring it to you: There is no whatsoever difference in droprate in the default and hardcore. In other words, your claim of easier in accumulating wealth in default is invalid!

With the fact mentioned about and you claimed that you deleted a level 70 characters just because of 5 deaths, go play hardcore.

There is a real easy way to avoid this command and never know the returned result of requesting a query from it: Don't ever type /deaths

Simple. Problem solved.

And the thing that really got a chuckle out of me is that this thread was "Bump"ed.

WTB /facepalm command.

This is the kind of attitude we have to endure in suggestion forums, these days.
This thread is no longer about discussing the suggestion, and solely about making fun of the thread starter.

I want to make my marauder do this:
Spoiler
Original topic complete; this thread is now about a facepalm microtransaction.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
