PSA: POE2 Missing Character (PS5) After Linking Email/Account (Resolved)

wow this just happened to me.
it would help if the menu options were more obvious.

This JUST happened to me. I play on PC now. I had merged my PS5 account totally unaware that I had a second account. Loaded up PoE2 and all my characters are gone. 271 hours of grinding, gone. I contacted support. I don't know what to do. There isn't an option to change accounts in-game. Not that I've seen.

EDIT: FALSE ALARM. Apparently you can change the accounts with a mouse. I play with controller on PC and there’s no option to change accounts on controller in-game on PC. You have to use the mouse and it shows your account on the upper right.

I have this exact problem, but when I get the option to select the correct account after creating a new character and I click on it, it automatically goes back to the wrong account. Is there a solution for this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot and I kept selecting the wrong account thinking it was the correct one.

Hello everyone! I was playing normally on 11.01.2025 on my PS5 and today 12.01.2025 when I logged in my lvl 68 monk is gone...
I tried to make new characters but it didn't help at all as R3 doesn't show accounts to log in...
My pathofexile account was linked with PSN account since the begining. I was using trade option recently and I also bought stash tabs through the shop in the game all on PS5. I bought early access through PSN on December 6th. When I log in on my pathofexile account on the website there are no characters visible there. If I go to Early Access tab in my account it shows: "Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Bribe a friend who has a spare key or purchase now." On PSN it also shows that Path of Exile is ready to buy...
When I hit R3 on the log in screen it shows a message like this: "There are no available leagues to migrate progress from". When I made a new character it showed gold amount of my old character... Is my old character completely gone? Does anyone have solution for this that worked on PS5?

I hate forums and am still going out of my way to tell the OP how awesome they are for figuring this out.

Exact same scenario but replace "PS5" with "Steam" and this was absolutely the resolution.

i cant log in to poe 2 with playstation 5 but i can log in to other online multiplayer games. is that playstation still having bugs or poe 2 having issues becuase of playstation outage? i deleted and restarted game and i get 2 game gears that grind and wont bring me to character screen
