Remove xp dead penalty please

Its not fun for new players, it actively deters them from playing seeing their time wasted and progress lost.
Its not fun for higher level players when a death can be a days playime.
Its not fun for anyone.
Needs to go.

Go play LE if you want XP removed.
I think we can all agree the game has a fair share of very difficult, if not impossible to see death effects especially in delirium fog and depending on your build.

My arc sorc even at like 9.5k ES would still die seemingly randomly which sucked and I basically did not know what was happening because all the shock effects in deli fog and with whatever ground effect the map would inevitably roll with makes it almost impossible to see - not to mention snapping shocked corpses that spawn like 50 lightning infusions.

Even IF the game did not have these problems, my issue with the XP loss is for less tweaked or experimental builds it makes you basically choose between running safe content your build can handle effortlessly just to level up vs. trying to challenge yourself and your build by doing difficult content.

I feel like the game should be encouraging the players to push themselves but instead you get slapped down so hard by a single death you'll likely just play it safe on most homebrew builds and target XP grinding until you're like 95 or 96 then swap to full juice maps just cause at that point it doesn't really matter much if you're losing XP - as those final 4 points are likely not crucial and build defining.

Again, I think the expectation is we should be running content were we can die sometimes. That makes the game exciting. But the current systems strongly, strongly encourage that you run content where you'll never die because dying wastes too much time.

Thus you're basically left with - play a build that never dies and clears fast. Or play less rewarding content to never die.

This is a huge reason the meta builds always dominate player choice. Especially given how insanely long it takes to get a char to endgame state. People don't have time to level multiple chars.
