I have 10 days playtime. Every person I encounter is chinese on US servers.

I have about 100 divines. I trade as much as I play. I have never traded with someone that is not Chinese. I just realized this today. That I play on US servers in a online game and I am mostly playing with bots and currency sellers from China.

Just something I thought about. I been playing online games since 1998. hundreds of MMO's. I can't remember a game where everyone I encounter is Chinese.

Currency selling must be a career in China. PoE is not really a game unless you play SSF. Because bots run the online game. And GGG supports all this. Its super easy to see the currency sellers who set the market. They will have like 400k divines or 200k perfect jewelers. It's very obvious.

I have not been able to trade in 2 days. Scared of having dupes go poof. But GGG has said nothing about it and it seems they work with the currency sellers and protect them.

you are not trading with people on the same server as you, the entire world can trade with you, your server is just where your instances are created. its more about the time of day when it comes to who you see online. if you are around in peak times for asia you will encounter a lot of asian people.


the usa has about 330 million people.

western europe is about 520 million people.

asia is about 4,500 million people.


if you come across a lot of asian people online its because a lot of people are asian. dont worry m8, theyre just normal people playing the game like you and me.

Not to be rude...

But I prefer Chinese players to American ones.

They are kinder, in general. Less random toxicity and dumb regurgitated memes in chat.

the point is theyre probably not bots or currency sellers, theyre just normal people playing the game who have names in an asian script and then an assumption is made for reasons.
