SteamDB shows: 0 players during night time - GGG lost it's playerbase entirely!
" Acolytes be warned however, for only those pure of hate can wield such a weapon. |

I'd argue PoE has many toxic attributes to itself.
Elitism, self entitlement and delusional are some attributes which apply to them perfectly. And I have a clear example of this relating to Reddit and PoE2 toxicity. I posted both there and here a revamp proposal for hammer, in order to make leveling with it less of a pain. On Reddit, the post got review bombed to 27% approval rating, 0 upvotes and 0 COMMENTS. The toxicity is so rampart that people feel like they can't be asked why it's worth defending the status quo of one of the worst weapons to level the campaign through. I find the toxicity overall to be at an insane level of either unhinged or brainwashed. |

And yet I get PMs from mods about removing my posts or responses on threads for violating TOS and have no idea what for or what posts lol.
This guy gets 14 pages of click bait lol. 1 of 6 reasons GGG will never get another dime from me for this game. Last edited by BellatorMonk#4008 on May 29, 2025, 1:04:06 PM

Toxicity is absolutely the norm in the PoE community. Clearly the people who like PoE 2 and the ones who dislike it cannot stand each other. Which doesn't bode well for GGG actually. A community divided like this will eventually destroy itself and the game will lose players. Deserved, I think

" Yeah I don't know about that. Aside maybe from reddit, which is known to be the most elitist, prickly and overall insufferable forum across the board (and actually even poe reddit is tolerable), in my personal experience the poe "community" has been probably the most helpful, open-minded and mature I've ever seen. I would bet you could log in right now and ask the most noobish question you could think of on any global chat channel 1 through 40, nobody would make fun of you for it and at least one person would kindly answer your question 9 times out of 10, if it's not hyperspecific. My man, if you think the poe "community" is toxic, I'd assume you probably haven't played that many online games before. Now obviously there's probably a bunch more bile going around these days as reception for early access is...not as good as it could have been, but overall it's almost always decent and civil across the board. Almost. Last edited by LFA01#0120 on May 29, 2025, 8:38:42 PM

" Those are two different things though, aren't they? How people behave in-game when playing, and outside of the game. PoE is not competitive in a classical sense of the word (solo or team PvP), so there usually is no reason to be "toxic in game". But I agree with "Johnny_Snow" on his point about the division of the player base. Outside of the game, the PoE community has become increasingly toxic since PoE 2 has been released, and one of the main reasons I see again and again is the massive division between "PoE 1 players" and "new players". And that, I would say, does not bode well for GGG. |
