PoE 2.0 or 1.5?

I mostly agree with all you said

Poe2 is kinda a joke right now, it feels like they used Poe1 code from 5 years ago with a new graphics engine, that's all.

Agree 100% with this take. I've been awarded a favored map slot from PoE1 multiple times now! Poe2 doesn't even have maps or favored maps slots!

This game is not new. New graphics engine I don't know but game performance is the worst of any ARPG.

Also worthy of mention, I've seen a lot of comments that default to "it's early access" attempting to defend GGG's total lack of communication, 3 week AFK after launch, allowing exploits to go on for weeks, etc. PEOPLE PAID TO PLAY THIS GAME. GGG TOOK THEIR MONEY. GGG needs to support the game they took money for, early access or not. If it was an open beta that would be one thing, but it's not.

Like it or not this is nothing more than a simpler PoE1 with nicer graphics, an updated interface, and what should be less items to clutter the ground, although they sure drop enough trash items - probably the old PoE1 code in action there...
Poe 1.25
+1
They likely worked on some of this stuff while PoE1 was out hence some of the same mechanics but keep hearing also the same mistakes in the beginning of PoE1 beta.

To this one comment I am going to point out that it was Christmas and New Years, of course the employees are going to have time off for this. That's unfair to demand they work on a video game without being able to spend time with their families and friends. They just got back from holiday break on the 6th. They have been working on bug fixes since they've returned to the office, heck we even got a bug fix before they were supposed to even come back.

Editing to add:

Also I want to point out that they announced that would be reusing old leagues during the announcement of POE2 being a separate game. So, we already were aware that they were coming in.

Oh and the endgame that everyone seems to dislike oh so much, it was only made in a couple of months before launch of EA. They were focused on the campaign first and foremost, so if the endgame doesn't seem well put together, they didn't spend much time on.

Agree with OP. After A3 no matter what class u play, game becomes increasingly boring with mapping as boredom apex. And boring not because there is nothing to do or "loot is bad" or smth, but because the combat itself becomes boring.

ES being too strong, trigger gems causing issues and dealing too much dmg...ouh year...we'v all been there...or at least some of us hehe.
I have no idea how they, after more than a decade of exp, managed to step into the same trap again lol XD.
+100
I hope people that are trying PoE for the first time in PoE2 give PoE1 a shot, it's a really solid game. It's complicated AF for crafting, but complicated is better than just gambling, maybe take a Masterclass.

Unless you solely care about graphics or WASD movement it seems to be rough to give it a number greater than 1. PoE 1 is just way more flushed out and polished from a decade of development.

I'm still playing 2, have about 470 hours in, but maybe have slowly diminishing trust in the new directions.
