Poe 2 is a chore simulator

4 T13 = only t9 and t10 map drops
Finished my 7 T12 = found only T8 and T9 even a T5
You die the map is lost
I'm lvl 88 I cannot lvl up
Multiplayer = one shot even with 5k ehp
I find only garbage loots 99.99999% of the time
Rarity and bonuses from atlas tree change nothing
I have no fun to lose XP and find nothing
If there is no fun at playing it's not a game but a chore simulator
I'm done with Poe :(

bye
Skill issue, go watch some youtube guides.

Or if you don't want to. Bye
When are people going to learn that the icons on the atlas map is there for a reason. Use them. Play around them. Add to them. And for God's sake, always play and buff up your high tier Waystones on the boss-maps, they WILL give you map returns.

We had the same issues in PoE 1; people making mistakes because certain things aren't always straight forward, and then blames everything on the game. Well, in this case, things are rather straight forward, because the current version of PoE 2 seems to have the depth of a puddle. PoE 2 has HEAPS(!) of problems, map returns isn't one of them.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
It's not just the buffs, there's still too much RNG involved or the system is bugged.

I've progressed throught the waystone tier questline using only blue waystones plus tablets and when I got to the T15 quest, I had 11 of those in stock to pick from.

Then I proceeded and also decided to make those yellow but then for some reason I almost exclusively got T7 to T14s and ran through all the T15s I had. In the end I had to run a T14 to finally find another T15.

So either I was very unlucky or there's still too much RNG involved. I had so many rares today not dropping anything or worth (only blue items and gold) and no waystones at all. I think I got more waystones from normal mobs and chests.
While I don't particularly agree with the OP's tone in general I think we do share a sore-point ...

Map sustain feels overly punishing and too much of a slog. While I'd prefer to see a map boss on EVERY map node I'd at least like some agency on getting more bosses into nodes.

Maybe I could, in addition to adding breech, irradiation, or other things to maps, maybe adding a map boss to maps via tablets could be a tradeoff that would help.

I know that I never run my "good" maps on nodes without bosses and seeing that map boss nodes are rare with no (?) player agency to increase the amount of bosses I encounter it really creates a lot of slog in the game that is a major turn off [for me]. YMMV.

NOTE: I currently run at least 6 mod maps, try to irradiate bosses, only run my good maps on boss nodes, dedicate my atlas to waystone rarity, chance, quant, ... I am able to sustain but the work involved seems greater than the reward.
Sounds like your atlas tree needs to be tweaked to include more nodes that increase your chance of a higher tier waystone dropping.
Not a skill issue this is normal GGG behavior its always overturned then ppl leave the game and they fix it I have seen this happen since nemesis league

Except we're at the point of having videos and streams clearly showcasing these exact skill issues.

These aren't necessarily mechanical skill issues but rather people lacking knowledge, capping out their learning resistance instead and refusing to read anything.

That is not something the devs can fix.

Until armor and evasion are fixed, I prefer if bosses remain mostly optional. I rarely get killed by a mob, but some of the bosses simply one-shot me the moment I don't dodge even one blow, because evasion doesn't work against a lot of their attacks and armour doesn't hold up against it.
