" Nah, the game is bad because its bad and it sucks. Its punishing, its a waste of time and it requires 0 skill. Its also boring and it encourages boring playstyles because of it being overly punishing. Punishments aren't required and there are many great games out there that don't delete hours of your time on death, this is some leftover outdated design from MMOs. A game is supposed to be fun, not whatever Ruthless vision bs this game is lmao, its anything but fun. Stop blaming the players for bad game design, "your build sucks" and "skill issue" aren't excuses that work for a game being bad. Nor is "this is early access". All of these are objective facts. |

" Yeah, wrong again, this is what happens when you are in bad faith. 50% Retention is among the best of Path of Exile 1s performance, also it doesn't really work like that, "peak" doesn't really work, when you compare anomalies to best case. For example: Path of Exile 2 had a 62% retention rate on its first 31 days, this is higher than the last 16 leagues from PoE1(until metamorph, which had a 62.4% retention) Settlers had 36.9% retention and Affliction 53.8%(highest after metamorph). All day 31, ofc. Metamorph was released on December 2019, for context. I would've typed a lot more, but I am on a silly, laggy, mobile. |

This is why I am trying out what I call the Picollo build... where I just dodge everything. Get Evasion rating to the MAX, and the notable that lets you evade ALL hits for a loss of evasion rating (not sure if it is permanent or a one time calc, need to play with it a bit more). Literally lagged at one point in the trial of the sekhemas for like 10 seconds straight with a mob shooting shit at me, and took 0 dmg. Only problem is, evasion and armor both have MAD DR once you get past 50%. which is kind of stupid how fast that DR scales, since it is not based on level but based on how much you already have.

I love playing tanks but they are too much punished this game
they are slower to clear so they have less currency and they must deal with enemy skills because of lower dmg done. best defence in this game is playing glass canon and clear everything before it reaches your screen... this shit tankiness was in Poe1 and in Po2 its even worse... |

" Not always. If there are other mechanics going on, you might not be able to move at all. Given how tough it is just to get to these bosses, it might behoove GGG to NOT give them one-shot mechanics, or at least ensure that the one shots are the only mechanic going on, so if you see all other mechanics start to clear you know to look for safe spots. Or they need to implement many more mobility skills and give them the range to clear those circles, because right now? none of them do so the only way to get clear is to build at least 25% MS. |

Its become a trend to just call anything a player doesnt like,"bad game design" now. Not saying it isnt always true, but its just become the de facto hyperbole at this point that it has lost its meaning.
I personally dont think 1 shots are bad game design if its telegraphed enough for the player to react. That move is pretty well telegraphed bv the howling animation and then a jump into the air that gives you ample time to move if you were paying attention to the animation. |
