" The game is never going to be balanced with trade in its current state. It's just not possible. Or it will be balanced, but it will be balanced around the percentage of players that can trade successfully and actually want to. Which is probably pretty low. And is affected by arbitrary stuff like timezone, working hours etc. I'm not sure an AH is the solution, though with high gold costs and limited trades it might work. I personally think ditch trade altogether, but that's also not ideal and I do like the ethos of generalised drops and alt farming. Not played LE, but people seem to think that works well. Basically no trade at all would be hands down the best thing for balancing the game, but high risk of making the game feel more on rails (you'd need target farming mechanics, much more deterministic craft etc). Introducing an AH democratises trade but potentially devalues ground loot and crafting. So place alternative limits on trade (gold scaling with tier and ilvl or sth, absolute number of trades etc) and buff/fix crafting. |

POE 2 got serious performance issues. And so far the devs don't do anything about it or can't do anything about it. Either way it is very bad!

GGG can do w/e they want, but I'm never going to use the current trade system.

As a new player to poe and the genre in general, I find it amusing that GGG wants trading to stay the way it is. Trade site is full of [Removed by Support]. Punish them by making it automatic. Let the economy fix itself. And fix the stupid performance issues. Ever since your last "hotfix' it's impossible for me to run deli map with a breach. Might as well paint the pictures i see myselft

What do we even need an auction house for?
Just let the player rick click a set ammount of currency and turn it into an item of their choosing. It's essenitally the same thing. The auction house has so many items listed you can get pretty much anything you want. Do away with all of it. It destroys the fun of the game. Everything should be solo self found. Trade is god aweful and it has destroyed every game it touches that doesn't limit any item worth a darn from being traded. |
