WASD Wrist Pain Solutions?

So I've been playing this game way too much. I've never had a problem with wasd in other games (like shooters), but with POE 2, using wasd but also needing to press adjacent buttons for skills has resulted in pain in the back of my left wrist.

I'm considering switching back to mouse movement, but I feel I'd be at a disadvantage when it comes to strafing while attacking. And it's a TON of mouse movement.

I'm also considering getting one of those MMO mice with like 12 thumb buttons on the mouse. Has anyone tried this? Has anyone else had similar issues with wrist pain?

try changing the hot keys for the skills, it helped me. Q,E,1,2,3,4 for skills

use a controller would probably help a lot but the downside is managing inventory I guess

a wrist rest and carpal tunnel brace would help but you should probably play way less if a video game is causing you physical pain...... That should be pretty obvious

It can be even 2qex/c to relax left palm and thumb as necessary. (I'm using 4x3 mouse)

I use a razer naga v2 hyperspeed(12 face/side buttons for mousehand thumb), works great for me, I use it in shooters too, like tarkov. one important part of solving wrist and pain in general from long hours on pc(imo) is to make sure your armrests are soft enough on the chair you are using, I got third party spacefoam pads for my chair and that made all the difference, before then I used to wear carpal tunnel braces to sleep in for recovery when needed, but probably would have been better off just stopping using the pc so much as others already mentioned as well,

Pad of right thumb. (G18 on logicool G600)

yup. I use right thumb tip for 2x2 buttons and pad for emergency so basically, left thumb is sitting on D X and right thumb pad on the corner of multi-pad.
