Nvidia 1080Ti at 3440x1440 is maintaining smooth 80-100fps!
A positive post - I am impressed that the client is usually around the 100fps mark even on my 1080Ti/Ryzen 5800X3D combo.
Yes the crashing is a pain in the derriere; however as that's possibly a client/Win11 24H2 issue combo I can forgive as it's early access. Loving the game thus far (I am a slow player due to my Aspergers). level 65 today on my mercenary and I am having a wonderful time. actually looking forward to completing Act3 Cruel so I can start a Monk build and replay. - a happy bunny indeed :) Stay a while, and listen…🐰 Last bumped on Mar 5, 2025, 7:55:03 PM

it's def not smooth for me when it drops under 100fps. i think my gsync gives up or something. 100-144 is smooth, 90 is def not smooth.
like 60fps on a 60hz monitor looks a lot smoother than 90fps on my 144hz monitor. Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Feb 12, 2025, 10:28:33 PM

" Thanks - Um nowt dubious, other than quoting the perf figures generated by the game client itself (F1). She has a proper CPU - naturally :) I do like the 5800X3D - The addition of a huge chunk of L3 cache was a very good design move by AMD. I am a life long techie nerd and I just love computer hardware as I grew up through the home computer revolution. Thank you for the compliment. My 1080Ti is an EVGA Super Clocked 2 (1080Ti SC2 WC) - Water Cooled edition, so it's likely one of the top 1080Ti's that were available off the shelf. It is a very nice little performer. I replaced a 4070Ti Super that had to be sold to help a family member whom was in a very awkward situation. The 1080 cost me £100, and will be found a new home when I upgrade to something bigger this year. I am hoping for my other half's RTX4080 when/if he gets a 5090. But I am also thinking of going RED with a 9070XT. I have never been a AMD fangirl on PC. Always been team green, but I have had a couple of Radeon cards in my Mac Pro's (4770, 5870 I think?). No dynamic res scaling is available on anything older than a 20x0 series as far as my memory serves... I am only level 67 I think and on Act3 Cruel, so I have zero Mapping or other endgame experience. Looking forward to it all. Wow looks like my stereotypical Aspergers way of saying with an essay, what only really needed a couple of sentences strikes again lol Stay a while, and listen…🐰

" Are they really that demanding? Serious question, as I am not at endgame yet. I have a 32GB, NVME equipped 5800X3D system to assist the lowly peasant GTX1080Ti in its quest for pixel pushing. Stay a while, and listen…🐰

I'm still using a GTX 1070 in an otherwise brand new, basically maxxed out PC and it's running really smooth with the CPU bottleneck removed. As long as it performs like this I don't mind waiting a year to see if the absurd price fixing and supply issues for GFX cards burn themselves out.
MonHun Wilds would basically be unplayable on the same PC according to their benchmark so there's new tiers of bad optimization coming out these days. The more More you have, the less Less matters Last edited by Avereth12#6754 on Mar 3, 2025, 7:08:59 PM

" Same resolution here with 5700x3d and 7900 xt, my card jump to 100C and run like a jet engine on delirium/breach maps. Not all maps but most maps (Savanah, Beach, Fort...) and drop FPS to ~20. With other AAA game, the max temp is ~70C, so i think POE2 in bad optimization state now. Last edited by hoqdat#5236 on Mar 4, 2025, 4:38:31 AM

Had same problem on my Nvidia 2060 super. Now I just override all graphics controls through control panel and have to limit FPS at 130 to prevent tearing - mostly max graphics bar shadows - very rarely stutter.
Unlimited shaders No vsync Override DLSS. Runs smooth as butter even Simmy T4 |
