Lets clear up this confusion once and for all.

When the game leaves Early access. All of your early access characters will join a league called Early Access. Seperate from standard. You will be able to keep your levels, your loot, everything. Nothing on your EA characters will be lost. But you WILL go into a league called Early Access seperate from standard. You will not being joining standard upon release. Once the first season league ends, then your characters will go to standard like poe 1. But this does not apply to EA characters. I cannot be more clear than this.

Bump. People still confused.
I have no reason to play then until release, thnx.
Maybe if people would stop calling it 'reset' or 'wipe' would help. Newbies in global chat almost immediately quit thinking all their work on their current characters will just go down the drain.

It's sad really.

It is going down the drain though, almost no one will play on the EA server after the game launches, i doubt they'll allow new charter to be created, trade would be non existent if not disabled...even they characters functionality with the build it went in with is not guaranteed.

But again, the problem is that they decided to market it as Early access and not a beta

It will probably take more than a year for the game to leave early access. So you got plenty of time to get bored of the game before you need to worry about any drastic changes.

You just proved his point, he has no reason to play. He will lose his work, he should have saved his $30 and played in a year for FREE.
No one loses anything. The point is you can still play the game with your tricked out characters. If economy and such is important to you then start over.

Do a search online for the pros and cons of buying/playing early access games. Then come to an understanding of what you paid for and what to expect. But he will not lose his "work". And while people do get bored of EA games hoping for faster progress, it doesnt mean its not worth playing.
