What stats are absolute must have for a Invoker quarterstaff?

depends to which passives you get and which skills you use.

for example ice strike main monks;

if you use elemental invocation, you need elemental damage + ailment chance + ailment buildups + penetrate elemental resistance + increased damage when ailment inflicted + increased damage when triggered a spell + staff that gives you elemental damage (cold and lightning are more important if you don't have other source of flat elemental damage), increased elemental damage with attack, leech mana or gain mana on kill, attack speed and stats are good, +6 +7 melee skill level is not good if you don't have 2k+ mana pool.

if you use cast on critical, you need critical hit chance + critical damage bonus + increase damage when critical hit + increase damage when triggered a spell + staff that gives you critical hit chance + critical damage bonus + attack speed + leech mana and stats are good. melee skill level is not good if you don't have 2k+ mana pool

increased physical damage and add physical damage are good if your main damage source is bell and %80 physical damage converted cold damage when use ice strike, %60 physical damage converted to lightning if you use tempest flurry. so you need high physical dps, some partion of damage are lost when converting.

for elemental quarterstaves dps are very low, but 300 dps elemental staff could give you more damage output then 700 dps quarterstaff while playing. so dps are not exactly say staff is good or not. also more attack speed need bigger mana pool, so if you have higher attack speed, some portion of dps could be waste.

Honestly don’t follow most the gearing builds unless they are very recent, the cost of everything was sky high and now it is very easy and cheap to build a budget invoker. I’ve been soloing everything in game, juiced delirious 80% T16 np and Simaruclam T4 and I made the biggest gains by going my own way.

Can help you out with a few div if needed.

Ingenuity’s are dirt cheap for 1-2 div 60-68% range.

HOWA now dirt cheap for a bricked 1-9 lightning and 3% AS per dex.

You can grab cold / lightning damage and flat cold / lightning to attacks breach rings, often with all res or a high single res for really cheap now.

Staffs are the most expensive but before I got mine was clearing everything on a 550 DPS stat stick.

Previously I ran 53-60% crit rate and 480-550 CD but that took a lot of passive skill points and often struggled to hit the required ES / Evasion. On a lighting build you can take lightning rod on amulet anoint and drop every crit rate node bar 5 skill points and still have 30-38% CR. With lightning rod its pretty much same crit rate but then you have 10-15 spare skill points to pick up QOL or more evasion / ES branches.

Melee skill is only good at start / was recommended because everything else was so expensive or they got the mana gear early. If you don’t want to spend for 19/20 gems you can run +2 / +3 on amulet and 16-18 skill gems to boost to acceptable attack speeds and mana usage. Once you earn a few div you can grab a meglo diamond with stormcharged or something else on it.

Melee skill on staff is going to make it really hard and expensive to gear everything else. Get your attack speed and crit damage or crit rate on staff. Can easily skip elemental damage on staff as that’s where the big costs are.

Grabbing 1100/400 ES body is more than enough for mapping to T15 and I’ve been running rarity item find 180-230% using boots, helm and amulet I picked up for 150ex - 1d 4-5 days ago.

You can be clearing everything with 10d budget very easily and if you get rarity find early it’s just a matter of time before get divs from maps, likewise quantity 15-20% ritual and breach tablets sell 1d+ each so can just farm those nodes whilst mapping to get precursors to sell and quickly get money.

People always suggest very specific and expensive builds. All you need are crit to ignore resistances and trigger cast on crit, attsck speed and flat damage. Everything else can be gotten from our passives and then you can focus on the deeper / better stats once consistently farming.

Character name: Valenthee

Helped a lot of new monks out and still got a lot of old spare gear / staffs or failed crafts I keep around to give to new players that join me for xp farming etc.
What is your favorite cream puff ingredients ?

For me, a soft vanilla pudding pastry cream (between flaky puffs!).
