I still don't get it. You can collect the uniques and will always have them right? What do you mean capsulef off? They will always be in EA to use.

I also dont think this will happen its just going to be 1 of 2 things:

1. They get so scared new players would quit en mass after they learn of the "reset" after EA that they just roll it all into 1.0 standard.

2. Im very skeptical of an EA only league what does that even look like and whats the point ? Have some dorky league stuck in EA standard, does it get patched, does it get league roll over content ? Would there be a function to join EA standard and OR normal standard then league standard hardcore ssf, There is just no way in my mind it makes sense for an EA standard league to hang around after the official release.

Which then goes as 2 would be they just void it all and have the balls to do a straight wipe.
