Why One Premium Stash Tab Should Be Free in Path of Exile 2

It is (will be) a free to play game. I don't think paying for stash tabs is a problem. Skip the Starbucks for a day and buy a stash tab.

It is more about being unable to trade at all via the website, a core and basic functionality in my opinion.

You can manually enter your items on the trade forums of this site. Ask around how to do that.

For early access people who paid at least 30$ for the game, the customer is still unable to list the items he has at all, unless he spends GOLD in micro transaction ? The basic function is severely limited despite paying for the game. They want you to spend the GOLD for core aspects like trading. This is not good at all. Trading should be free on the website as basic game feature.

For people who come after and benefit from free game - why restrict basic functionality of game behind paywall ?

Maybe instead of a premium tab - they should simply allow one or all of the normal tabs to become public to be able to sell items and help the player economy and interaction.

Trading in game is much harder, you can't expect millions of people spamming the trade chat or global chat ? The trade within the site is much easier. It is like a database.

I got here through the link you have posted. Great post, well written.

But from my perspective, I don't agree with the suggestion. Even though you have paid 30$, you got things in return for that: EA access and ingame points. And with these 300 ingame points, you can buy the premium stash tab bundle (6 tabs) for 200 points and still got 100 points for other things (currency stash tab 75 points) left.

And many even paid the 60$ pack, which even gets you 600 points, tons of cosmetics and ofc the EA access.

GGG must have at least one thing that gives them some kind of constant income and this is stash tabs. Giving one for free may already be enough for many customers, who may then decide to not get points anymore.

So as much as we like free stuff, a company needs to make a profit to keep a service game like this running.
