Yeah. We need an auction house.

The simple term of player fault and skill issue hits once more.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

[Removed by Support] Pretty simple, you didn't do your research on an item you listed. YOU had to invite the person to trade, YOU had to initiate trade, YOU had to put your item in the trade window, YOU had to hover over both your item and the offer and finally YOU had to hit accept. It quite literally doesn't matter if someone had a live search set up or it was a bot, that's immaterial to the discussion.

What does that even mean, "do your research?" Am I supposed to PM all of the low listings, just to see if they party invite me? If they don't, I assume a fake listing, and if they do, I leave party and don't do the trade?

Do I type into Google, "What is the real price of The Red Dream on PoE 1 Standard on March 5th, 2025, if we exclude fake listings?"

Alrighty bud, keep dismissing everyone replying to your thread and ignoring the points being made. I'm SURE this will get the result you're hoping for. Have a good day.

Theres really no excuse, though so many will pretend there is... for there not to be a modern auction house in the game. As is now, for the era we are in, POE is livin in the 90's and uses tools that are at best, unintuitive.

Lets bear in mind, that WoW is not new, did not always offer rmt (tokens) within... etc, and it did VERY VERY well for a VERY VERY long time...

But people will pretend that *bots this, and RMT that, hell, they will even resort to comparing the D3 AH which is a different story of its own if you know the facts, and (insert any mouth breathe you want here...) for absolutely no other reason then to be ignorant.

The facts is, RMT and Bots exist everywhere theres any kind of economy, and ESPECIALLY in playgrounds that cater to them with drop rates that are humanly next to impossible to get, so that only the botters and RMT's stand a fucking chance of getting anything - which they will gladly sell to you no problem, with seemingly infinite stock ... which begs the question... Though the EULA holds all of us liable, does it apply to the companies, or, are they in fact, profiting off this bullshit alongside the involved third parties?

It is what it is.
GGG - Why you no?

Idols in Phrecia really highlight how lacking the current trade system is. While some people keep on 'requesting' an auction house, I'll limit myself by asking for certain trade improvements, because a fully automated system will be bad for reasons I deem obvious.

In addition, currencies have a value. Sure, the value fluctuates, but you can easily look up their current value and price your items thereafter. Gear has no "set price", and this would maybe be worse for new players, as they can't "regret" a sale price. At least now you can regret it when flooded with replies. We will see 284697264 threads like this, where people sold their items for x, while they could've sold it for 40x.

But hey, whispering 2497 people without an answer, even if you sort the results by "added in the last minute" is a pain in the ass, so something has to be done. And as long as they'll keep the requirement of being online to trade and that you actively have to accept the trade, I don't really care what they'll do.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
