I got a warning for cheating after todays patch
I got this messages after the update today, pic below.
https://postimg.cc/gxq8VLVC I have never used any such software, whatever they are talking about. I play on Linux, CachyOS using Proton over Steam. The only third-party tool I use is a price checker called Exiled Exchange 2, https://github.com/Kvan7/Exiled-Exchange-2 Only because it's the only one I can find supporting Linux. Can someone help me out here? Is not playing on Linux allowed in PoE2? I don't want to get banned for something I haven't done. Last bumped on Mar 6, 2025, 3:14:47 AM

Received the same message, also running on linux and running the official Exiled Exchange 2. I'm restraining from using it for now to avoid any accidental ban

" Yeah, I feel the same, will have to stop using it and just price check manually from now on :/ |

I don't know what the Exiled Exchange is, I literally have just Steam, POE2 and Firefox open and received the cheater notice too. So it's NOT the exchange thingy. It's just Linux.
I'm on Ubuntu. |

" I'm glad you said that, don't like the idea of not using a price checker when so used to it. Then we know that it's more likely to be a Linux problem. I know the game Apex Legends are forbidding use of Linux play, even if it's on Steam... |

what are they going to do when every dad gamer in existence can just ask their Microsoft or Google Agent to Price every item in their stash, and list it...
or for that matter, "Hey google buy the 10 cheapest Magebloods that pop up over the next day and relist them for market value" Or for that matter "Hey google give my new POE character a nice Musk-ride"? GGG's got a lot of coders surely they know this shit is coming. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

I'm on windows, got it too. All I can think of is Exile Exchange 2, RoseTheFlower's Ultrawide patch and mouse buttons for abilities (not macros, just keys). Is any of those not ok? Or is this just an error with their new patch?
Edit: Just read the post on Early Access Bug Reports and it was probably the times I played on my steam deck. Also the ultrawide patch is not ok, so I'm removing that. Last edited by huterD#0440 on Mar 5, 2025, 10:48:46 PM

I also received the prompt. I only used the price - checking tool and didn't do anything else. It's really baffling. What's GGG's basis for judgment?

Got one too, only have Exalted Exchange 2 and PoE2 Overlay (Overwolf) for price checking and examining maps.
On windows 10. Currently reinstalling PoE2 and deleted any EE or Overlay. Kewl story bro! Needs more turtles... Last edited by Synful#7268 on Mar 6, 2025, 1:09:47 AM

Good. Was about time that GGG is doing something about all the third party cringe.
