Ascendancy Class Respec Feedback
Jonathan: “it’s not realistic people make multiple characters in one season”
Ascendancies can effectively hardcap the potential of your character and lock you out of entire playstyles relevant to your class. Combine these two and you see that there’s a problem for everyone that doesn’t follow a build guide: you can literally make the wrong choices and your character will be to some extent be bricked, and you won’t make a new toon. I think there’s 2 options to solve this: 1. Allow respec in some reasonable way 2. Allow quick rushing of new toons Since the second isn’t even on their “could do” radar yet, the first solution is needed to reduce player churn. " It is realistic for people to make multiple characters.. However: the feedback of this thread is the sanctity of the ladder. IF THEY PRESERVE THE LADDER POSITION WHEN YOU CHANGE ASCENDANCIES... I will concede and say the current ascendancy respec is ok. Also, I am not Jonathan, but I share a lot of his opinions and am glad he bats for me as a player. " You misunderstood my post. I have updated it a little. The first line is literally a quote from Jonathan. It’s his opinion/vision that people only make 1 character per season. Personally I think this isn’t a good idea. I like making many characters, but I do think they are making this much less fun than it could be because you can’t easily rush new toons through the campaign. I like the campaign, I don’t like replaying the entire campaign 4 times in 2 weeks. Let my friend rush my character through just the main bosses please. This was how it worked in D2 and everyone loved it. Last edited by TheBalrogslayer#7574 on Apr 11, 2025, 3:58:58 PM

" Cool, ruin the game for people who don't care about ladder placement so you can have bragging rights |
