Im absolutely loving it - and I hate that people are trying to tell me I'm not, I love the direction and the pacing of the game and think it will be a tragedy if they turn PoE2 into another zoom zoom brainless cookie clicker like PoE1 / d4

Im also wondering whats so good about the next patch? Nothing they announced addresses any of the complaints or major issues the game has? At this point most ppl are way past campaign. Slightly increasing campaign boss loot...wont change anything really. The loot globally needs to move back to what it was at the end of 0.1 and wisps need extra drop chance.

" I bet it's just a little bait to keep you in the game. All it will do is make you identify more of the same worthless, unusable garbage, and you'll only realize that after another 50+ hours put into the endgame. After which you'll go back to the forums to post your feedback, and you'll see another ptach notes that promise a small fix to something that we talked about for months now that should have been fixed a long time ago. Game feels worse. Some of the issues existed before but were easier to ignore.
-Most skills now feel so bad, there's often little point in trying to use them as an adjunct while leveling up, before you specialize (minions, for example). This makes the game feel as if it has fewer dimensions. -You'll probably get enough level-3 support gems for every skill gem you're using before you get a single greater jewelers orb. People are mapping with 3-links, when they'd at least have a cheap corrupted 6-link in PoE 1. This makes the game feel as if it has fewer dimensions, fewer ways to build a character. -Base damage of most skills is horrendous. There's a reason 50+% of people are playing one skill. -Drops and and crafting are a joke. I check vendors for +to skills gear, buy something for gold, then regal/slam it, until I'm getting into deeper into end game. Whatever I can't obtain that way, I trade for. I have almost zero hope of finding anything good from monsters that I can wear or even craft into something. Saving bad items to 3-for-1 them into another bad item isn't fun. -Most uniques are bad -Weapons are trash without +to spells. Feels completely binary -- they either have it or they don't. -Zones, particularly in the 2nd part of Act 3, are way too big. -Armor and hybrid gear needs help -Why guard skills don't exist in a game that would be even better suited for guard skills than PoE 1 is kinda weird. I guess the dodge roll is everyone's generic guard skill. -Does anyone use caster staves for a primary weapon? -Passive tree is boring and unimpactful. I'm mostly just getting stats to meet requirements, and getting a bit of passive damage. The most impactful thing is all the ES stuff I can get on the tree (for my build), but one can't get health on the tree? Ok. -Rarity is stupid because nobody is going to want to do content without it Devs need to think about why PoE 1 was so successful. |

The game has become a slog. It has become a chore.
I'm doing endgame t15+ content and I feel just as powerful as did at level 1. It takes forever to kill anything, everything. There is no power fantasy. Gameplay feels horribly slow. The combo BS isn't any fun to play. Player agency is almost non-existent compared to POE1. Usable loot drops are virtually non existent and currency drops royally suck even with juicing maps and towers. It's a negative return on investment from a mapping perspective. Currency is so scarce you can't attempt to gamble...craft anything. Ascendancy RNG feels even worse than before the 0.2 patch. Jonathan's vision is clearly not what the players want, and frankly it feels absolutely horrible to play. This is coming from someone with over 1300 hours in POE2 and thousands more hours in POE1. " 100% agree. I was super disappointed when I read those patch notes today and they didn't mention anything other than boss and wisp loot. Jonathon said recently that wisps are already supposed to give 300% increased rarity of drops compared to normal. So, the problem isn't just wisps or boss loot, it's all loot! All loot sucks. They need it to be even better than it was in 0.1.0 The potential this game had was insane, and this patch just ruined so many peoples hopes of that. |

" +1 I hope the devs read these messages in the forum. If they listen to the general consensus, this game can finally get on the right track. Otherwise, they will drive themselves into an even deeper hole. It's much much harder to get yourself out of a hole when its 100 feet deep.
