This and not only this. Same thing happens with chromatics over shards and augments. I think this are just bugs and posted about it before but nobody payed any attention.

Heh I was thinking of this the other night, and how it would make sense cuz the 3 different colored gems match the colors of the Chromatic Orb :D

Not with bots. Just by redoing the beach over and over.
You get a gem for killing the first zombie on the beach.
Anyone can mass gems easily by just creating new characters, bringing the gem to town, repeat.
I'd be swimming in cromatics in no time if this was a recipe.

The chromatic recipe would have been a magnificent waste of common gems. You want to save them to cycle combinations of the Red/Green/Blue/Neck recipe till you get a perfect 20 onyx for chancing or crafting especially by end-game when you can pickup a half a dozen or more ilvl 77+ necks in a map.

It is arguably one of the best recipes in the game.

Verefied! Using this with a rare item that had 10% MS moved it up to 15%, but it also made it blue and stripped all other properties. This would certainly be nice for new characters to get some high speed off of lvl 1 boots. I'm going to assume this will work until 30%, testing in a sec, will edit this post.

Edit 1:
White boots + aug + QS = 10% MS blue boots.

Edit 2:
30% MS boots will not work with this, just gets you scraps.
If the item has sockets/quality, the quality will be stripped, and the sockets will be randomized.
