Titan Quest 2 is everything POE2 promised but failed to be

Slower paced combat in a game where it actually makes sense.

No 3 screens of mobs instantly jumping on you regardless of how far they were when you engaged them.

Loot that is useful and build defining. And yes, you actually get loot.

Amazing looking game , OPTIMIZED btw even during beta testing.

Non boring replayability , because it makes sense to make new chars due to legendary/unique items that are actually interesting.

So why are you here instead of playing Titan Quest? If it was really as good as you are trying to sell, don't you think you would be playing it instead of obsessing over POE2 on its forums?

Sounds to me like you are trying to manipulate people into thinking something, but you don't even believe it yourself. You wouldn't be spending time on the POE2 forums if you actually had something better to do.

I guess GGG is doing an amazing job with POE2 if not only are they retaining the players that like the game, but are also retaining people who claim to not like the game, but secretly obsess over the game.

POE2 is the most played ARPG in the genre right now for a reason. IF it wasn't the best ARPG in the genre right now, it wouldn't have the most players. And before you wrongly say "LE has more players on the steam charts, it has more players!!!". All of LE's players are shown on steam while POE2 has its own launcher with probably around 30%-40% more players or more.

When D4 released, people disliked it so much it drove diehard Diablo fans to play D3 and D3 got a spike in players even though it had not released new content in forever. POE1 has plummeted in players since POE2 has been released. Even the players that are moving on from POE2 won't go play POE1 after leaving POE2. POE1 was a good game for it's time, but it's time is over now and it is clearly not the direction that the majority of the ARPG's players want the genre to go in...if it was, more than just a few thousand players would be playing it. POE1 will get spikes in players when it gets new content, but it won't be able to sustain a player base higher than a few thousand without injections of new content.

The majority of people playing games simply do not want to play games where you farm gear that plays the end game for you because it one shots everything. If WoW players could get gear that would allow them to one shot the strongest raid boss in the most current raid, they would stop playing that game. When the world bosses in BDO became to easy due to power creep, people stopped doing the content all together and they had to buff them to get people to even bother going to the content. Same thing with GW2, there was a point where world bosses were getting popped as soon as they spawned and people just stopped going to them until they got buffed. FPS's and MOBA's rule the top of the player base charts because of the challenge of playing human opponents, which at the highest levels create extremely challenging experiences. No one plays the PVE modes of those games because they are laughably easy.

The majority of people playing games don't want to one shot things, they don't want their gear to carry them, they want engaging gameplay that has some kind of challenge. People want to beat the content and feel some sense of pride for doing it. The majority of people don't want a casino slot machine simulator. It is why the ARPG genre has such a small amount of total market share compared to other game genres. It is why barely anyone makes ARPG's and if people don't start making more engaging content like POE2, the genre is just going continue to fade away into irrelevance.

When people stop playing POE2, they don't go play one of the other ARPG's in existence, they go play another genre all together and that should tell you something about what the majority of people think about the rest of games in the genre.
I looked at some Titan Quest 2 gameplay footage and the combat doesn't really look that good at all. So I'm not sure what copium you're smoking.

It looks visually decent tho.

It looks very.. weightless, not sure how to explain it, and very basic.

And while the game itself looks visually good, the spells and skills don't look that good. But then again, it's not really out yet, right ? So.. we'll see when it actually comes out how things stand. As of right now though, I have big doubts.

I am a long time ARPG player (and a player of other genres, but that is not that important). I did not play PoE1 ever because I simply didn't like the graphics. And UI also looked rly bad to me.
PoE2 looks and plays so awesome. I know there is a lot of stuff to be adressed, improved, fixed. It is true. But it looks and plays awesome.
I checked LE - to me it looks like shiet.
I've checked TQ2 - please see "I checked LE".
