right so tbh.. . my main problem with poe 2 is neither that its hard or that its easy... its simply that its not fun.. most system there are simply unenjoyable for me. . infact ill argue that poe 2 is easy ... becuse i can 1 shoot basically all bosses and stand afk after 1-2 weeks .. but its just soooo clunky so unfun.. theres nothing exciting to do the maps are huge the gameplay is slow and clunky. . monsters dont drop loot what kind of ARPG is this? the way you bring loot to maps with 3 overlapping towers and specific 9 tablets and rarity on map.. is so toxic.. i swear i side from the visual theres nothing i like about poe 2 .. GGG really seem to have lost their way between whats "hard" and what is "tedious" as you said or clunky.. and they clearly have chosen to go the tedious way

Nothing is fun as is the way they have redesigned things, however, making it more tedious makes it even worse than just not fun. Going through the campaign for the 5th ish time... Almost physically painful its so un-fun. It started giving me anxiety honestly and I didn't even bother making it to maps this league..
The game feels "hollow", i'm not sure how to explain it, but it's like the game has this pretty veneer, and you pull it back and the wall is just cheaply made junk. It's all a facade. It's a car from fast in furious that had every penny spent on the body and not a penny put into the engine.

right so you see.. thats something important you brough up here now. . becuse people keep complaining about 0.2 when i said from the start every 1 of these problems existed in 0.1 and even in 0.1 i said i have my problems with the campain and people flamed me how im just toxic poe 1 player.
and i said.. i enjoyed doing the campain the first time.. it was new exprience but then the second time i didnt enjoy anymore and it felt toxic more than a job .. . and tbh.. . i dont ever wanna do it again.. .
Jonathan or GGG whomever decide it this way.. look at it from the angle of ya it was fun for me to do 1 -2 eras or 1 act .. . but they never looked from player prespective after i do it 10k times there is nothing they can do to the campain to make it fun and exiting for me.. . i just want it to be shorter..
people tell me.. you are toxic its EA its just they shouldnt even have endgame now. .. but is the endgame really the only or main problem of poe 2? or the core fundamental ? ill argue if they rework entirely how loot works at its core remove rarity and quant and make a good system. . then we wouldnt NEED 3 towers 9 tablets and 1 specific mantatory mode on map. . will endgame be better? yes,
also 6-7 years working on campain and this what they came up with? ill take poe 1 campain every day all day.
gameplay and how you are forced into combo with white mobs and stuff feeling clunky and so many skills having cd for no reason. . the huge maps and eras that are from lvl 1 to lvl 100 .. the 0 gear progression from lvl to lvl 100 i finished campain with basically blue items with random stats..
the whole fundamental of poe 2 is just not good. . to me it looks like a game that have done everything they could to feel clunky and tedious ..
they think slowing the game by making me walk 95% of my time in the game is good. . i rather they give monsters 10x more life and i fight them..
they think making me perma stunned or stuck is going to make me feel challenge? my main challenge was to keep my self on PC inside the game.. and ofc i failed that challenge and uninstalled the game i have no intention playing poe 2 agian. . i had such a negative experience with it. . even tho i had unlimited amount of currency i was not having fun

Yep, that was my expeirnece with POE 2 noobs, and because most of them had never played a challenging game before they thought WE wanted an easier game because we don't like the design choices.
The problem is the brains making the game. The way they think is fundamentally unsound for what the fans of the game want, and it's fundamentally opposite of POE 1 by design and choice -- which is, not the smartest decision to completely disregard your best work ever.
And yes, the RNG put into every step of the game makes it way more tedious than it needs to be. Tedious finding towers and juicing towers, they made us work for the juice unlike POE 1 we just juiced the map and ran it. Now we can't even select what maps we want to run. We spend HOURS setting up towers to enjoy a couple maps only.
It's all so intentionally limiting/clunky, it's designed to keep you playing longer, and progressing slower, achieving less. So that we all play more hours per day, more days per league, more leagues per year.

100% man i can not agree more.. its all fundamental and its like. .there is a reason why gatcha games companies only make gatcha because thats what they know how to make and have experience .. GGG should stick to stuff that are very PoE 1 like becuse thats what they do best minmaxed it for 11 years. poe 1 community still growing every year and every league. . i swear i think this is the only game i know that for 10 years instead of decreasing only increase in popularity ?
is it keeping us playing longer tho? becuse i understnad that this was their intention to make us play longer.. but in reality more than 90% of players are not playing anymore. . man i dont even know how many hours i have in poe 1 .. probably more than all my sleep hours in last 10 years.. but poe 2? not gonna touch it so realisticly they made us play less becuase i came to realize very quickly that all what poe 2 does.. is waste my time and stall time they are making every effort possibe to waste my my time. .

I dont know. I like current tower system. It reminds me of Legacy League (2.6) which was really popular at the time. I find really fun to combo corrupt zones with breach and delirium, specially after last patches. Maps have so much density with that.
About the game in general, I cant say that poe2 is wonderful. I can see that it has potential and can be a great game if devs tune it rightly. Move speed is too slow, specially outside combat on those huge maps, and there are far too much limitation on skills. Not everything should demand a combo. But I do expect that they would improve it. I just dont know if they will do it before it is too late…

I can definitely see a lot of similarities between PoE2 and FromSoft’s games. But at the end of the day, PoE2 is still a build-driven game—and that’s a fundamental difference. In a FromSoft game, if I’m good enough, I can beat the game in my underwear. In PoE2, if the stars don’t align, I’m eventually getting hard-stopped. That said, PoE2’s mechanical complexity makes FromSoft’s design feel like a children’s intro to RPG systems—not because it’s worse, but because there are just fewer levers you need to understand to make the machine run.

If they make it RNG based to find 2-3 tower setups, then they've only limited our potential to juice, in an effort to hamper what we can achieve. That's, imo, a level of fuckery I don't appreciate as a gamer. It's intentionally dragging out the game just to make us play more. Which feels like insidious design. which makes me play significantly less personally.
This CONCEPT needs to go away, and this type of thinking from the developer is unappreciated, predatory, and insidious.
It feels pretty bad, a lot of us do not appreciate this way of thinking -- tying RNG to even do max level mapping is heinous.

why not make 1 tower that is affecting your entire atlas with more tablets on it and you need to rerun it when you want to change tablets? becuase anything that require to look for optimal setup and 3 towers gonna feel bad. . but personally i dont like the new atlass i dont like the 3d kinda atlas field for maps i dont like the towers system at allllllll and i dont like the boring atlass tree with no choices. . its inferior to poe 1 in every possible way other than visual
