How to FIX the XP Penalty
I don't think there is anything about my ls slayer that i played this league that is spectacular. It really isn't that good, i just dropped several imperial rare claws that happened to recomb into double t2 prefixes. If you remade this character in sctrade with the same gear people would say it was mediocre.
But yes, meta skills are better than non meta its hard to argue against that. I don't think there is a way to fix that. Whenever stuff like breach and legion exist and give a lot of xp its going to be hard to compete to 100 if you're playing something thats mediocre. I tried to play with impaling a bit but phys as extra is just a broken stat. I'm also not willing to gamble with a lot of experimentation when im playing hc. Vf of snaking is just too good not to play right now, it can map and boss its perfect. Hopefully they can bring some other "melee" skills up to par. " A: I'm too lazy to buy an omen thats overpriced on Faustus.(like ain't no waaay that I'm paying 50-80c for this thing I need that chaos for gear) And B: That's just a band-aid fix anyway, and using omens is cringe I ain't carrying that thing in my inventory every map lol I wouldn't mind if exp loss just got straight up deleted, because as it stands it does absolutely nothing that its "designed to do". I want to get to lvl100? Ok I just do only safe content like 50x lvl83 Sanctum Tomes at lvl99 to reach lvl100. Or I pay some divines to legion 5-way rota hosts. Or I join breachstone exp leech groups. Or coward's trial rota groups. Do you see how players like me who dislike exp loss will simply walk right around it and ignore it? I really don't care if its in the game or not, its just a slight annoyance until I can hit that sweet sweet lvl100 and start corpse-rush gaming again and throwing myself at content without a care in the world and without feeling bad for losing -10% exp. It utterly fails at making the game more "challenging" or "interesting". All that exp loss does is create cringe,emergent gameplay that is completely risk-averse(like avoiding any endgame boss until I have leveled up) or just doing the most safe,boring content to reach my goal. I dunno man, that's pretty boring. If exp loss fails at doing what it was intended to do, they might aswell just delete it altogether. Or make it a toggle on character creation/in the settings menu? Then people who enjoy it can play with this mechanic, and people who do not can just turn it off. |

" Well every player has different priorities and objectives. For me I don't really care how I achieve anything, all that matters is that I do it. Buying carries brings me the exact same satisfaction as doing something myself. And the change where you don't lose exp in pinnacle bosses is amazing, now I can farm endgame bosses without being forced to level up beforehand. |

" I mean, yeah if your build has low dps then even 6 portals won't be enough. But I play one that literally has 200 million dps, so that isn't a problem for me lmao I can just corpse-run my way into any boss or uber boss, the only one I failed was uber uber elder because it has sooo many immunity and add phases and I suck at dodging abilities. I've done the other 6 ubers though. |
