Down to 20k players...

Game is death. I checked today Twitch: twice less viewers than D4

Clearly rage bait. Guy even switched to an alt account just to promote it more. Classic.

Lol ok, I'm not the op and even started a thread regarding my account name. I had another account name and it was automatically changed one day to this random garbage and GGG never fixed it nor responded back after telling me to email support. Now this account is tied to my in-game characters with no way to change it

Wonder if we'll get to a stage when people realise cyclical cycles are cyclical.

Most people move on 6 weeks after an update/league. Theres probably some ppl like me who once they heard loot was getting improved next patch they stopped playing until then.

More than half the initial players never returned for the new 'league' if you can call it that.

Shortly after, 90% of those left; Including nearly all of the content creators/streamers who left within the first couple of days.

It's good to be optimistic, but you also need to be realistic and accept what is right in front of you.

I'm gonna be honest with you- that sounds like the same trend as every successful video game these days.

Eg, elden ring: 90-95% player drop off within 1 year. Only 20% of people who bought base game bought the dlc. Thats why everyone forgot about that franchise and it never won any awards.

If only crafting existed
shit happens.
Bad league, the developers didn't have time to play what they made. The next one will definitely be better, we're waiting

If you're gonna try to trash another game in an attempt to elevate POE 2, picking Elden Ring is certainly a bold choice. Keep in mind that ER came out three years ago and POE 2 was just six months ago, not to mention Elden Ring was never a seasonal game like POE 2.

"Everyone forgot about that franchise" sir, have you checked the twitch viewership and steam charts today?

Oh sorry, thought it was clear:

/s. I chose ER as an example precisely because it is not a bad franchise and yet it shows similar numbers to what OP is saying indicates poe2 is.

Checked the current numbers and its daily peak is about 4% of its all time peak. 6 months after release it was also averaging 20-23k players.

And I know it came out years ago, but I only referenced data from its 1st yr + dlc
