Constant crashing and freezing

same problem here, all league. guess i'll try vulkan but i think the game
runs worse in that. really hope they fix this as it's ruining a great league for me.... |

Exact same issue here. Game freeze for 5-10 seconds and either the screen goes black for another few (allowing me to move at least) or goes back to normal straight away.

I am getting this about every 15 minutes. Game hard freezes, the textures unload and it takes about 10+ seconds to recover. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating, especially if it happens during a boss fight where pause is disabled.
One note - if you hit Escape as soon as it happens, the game will only progress a frame or two once the textures finish reloading and you will be paused when you come out of it. Hope this saves some folks from unnecessary deaths. Last edited by LightningFst#3199 on Jul 22, 2025, 5:13:49 PM

I was having crashing issues during simulacrum, I resolved this problem by removing the MTX associated with the finger slot.

I haven’t experienced any crashes yet but the freezing happens on occasion. When it does return back to normal, explored areas of the map are reset.

A fix or at least an acknowledgment of the issue? The same bug happens in poe 2 and was backported to poe 1 with 3.26.

I've the same here, a high end config but getting a crash every map even when there is not that much effects / projs on the map and it's an error "0xc0000005" on the event logs issues..

most crashing issues this league can be attributed to shaders, if you press F1 you will noticed the bar is constantly full, as you can probably guess this is not supposed to happen, essentially poe is downloading shader constantly, even ones it already has downloaded and sometimes it causes crashing, its been pretty bad for me this league as well, no mention or acknowledgement at all from ggg in the patch notes from what ive seen
