Why are we getting community posts when we want update teasers?

I'm pretty sure the boss fights, and the essays on a life of a sound creator are nice niche content some people might like.

MOST OF US ARE WAITING SINCE APRIL FOR A GOOD PATCH.
0.2.1 wasn't a good patch. 0.2 was just awful.

GGG gives us "teasers" but when you call the latest unique items "Chase" it becomes just a clickbait.

I'd like to see a roadmap like most games release.

I'd like to see an apology or at least acknowledgement and a reason for why we aren't getting enough communication from the team.

I'd like to see GGG use the money we gave them to develop PoE2 (30$, and in my case 100$ since I bought a supporter pack for POE2) and create a specialized team in PoE2 that won't ever get mixed with the PoE1 team.
You can have seniors pass between projects to help with big updates, but not having a dedicated QA team( or even some AB testing) leads GGG into releasing bad updates, or worse, hyping themselves into thinking whatever they are doing is actually good.

We DONT need Boss vs Boss, neither do we need the personal musing of your staff in the announcement section. "Skill Sound Design in Path of Exile 2" IS NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT, while some might enjoy it, IT IS IN FACT NOT THE PLACE FOR THAT.

They don't exist, the work has not been done they need 2 months NOW to work on it, but you see POE 1 is turning out to be a train wreck too.

What do they do?

Let both games rot? That is where we are.

That's why I asked for an apology :)

It does? Is POE1 in trouble right now? I have not played it for years.
Fully agree.

We should have known what to expect from 0.3 a month ago, considering how far away it still likely is, I will be surprised if it drops before the end of August.

This is right next to Star Citizen for most disappointing early access games I have ever supported.

I am also tired of their "we are on vacation" boss battle and sound fx updates.

Star Citizen is the longest running interactive sales pitch I've ever seen. I keep tabs on it because it's super cool, but truly it's astonishing that they've gotten away with it for so long and there's still whales spending $10k+ on new shit.

Regarding PoE2, we really need a legitimate updated roadmap for development and time framing. I'd be fine with radio silence (not what you want though, especially in EA) if I at least knew when to expect new classes, campaign acts, weapon additions, major endgame updates, etc. Kinda feels like they're just operating on a "dont worry about it. It'll be done when it's done" mentality. Which is unfortunate. PoE1 needs love too and I am okay with that. I'd also really like to know that the $$ we're spending on EA and MTX is actually going into PoE2. You know, the game we're paying to beta-test.
In an early interview, before the start of EA I think, GGG said they didn't want to release a roadmap, because if they had to change how they delivered things it would upset the community.

For me, a big content update in August is enough. Here's my guess: one new class, two new ascendancies, either another campaign act or a major endgame upgrade, probably both a campaign act and a small endgame upgrade like the Expedition Locker, new weapon types, support gems, and skill gem rework. And 25 or so PoE1 MTX that now work in PoE2.

Looking forward to seeing how wrong I was.

While personally I don't think that's enough, since they said it will take a year to release but in this rate we're looking at 2 years, if we get big endgame+act it might be fine to only release Druid.

we should have gotten 2 classes this update, and I am expecting this to be "the blip" and the rest of the updates to be top-notch. if 0.3 also fails I am 100% abandoning this bi-weekly forum checks, downloading an MMORPG or Warframe or whatever else is available and I will just wait until 0.5/0.6.

Johnathan doesn't deserve the bucks I paid for this soon to be failed experiment, but I am still keeping a thread of hope I'm also wrong.

Almost nothing in the game is working as it should at the moment... they will not be working on new content any time soon, as said by the big man himself.

It's crazy to me too, all of POE 2 is just reassembled POE 1... how could it be that hard? Literally ALL of the previous work is done for you.
