Which League should I play in?

Hey fellow Exiled, new player over here with a question.

I have started playing a few months ago in the Dawn of the Hunt league on and off and began my journey with a Merc. I didn't really know what I was doing obviously since the game is quite complex and while leveling I had less and less fun. Then I saw a Sorc build on YouTube and it looked realy fun so I quit my Merc on level 24 and started to play Sorc with the purpose of building this:

https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/f44792ce-f16b-4663-a2f3-a0217a4c1e03/builds/0d5eded3-af1c-4cd6-b52c-d7eeaa724b96?weaponSet=set1

I have just started Act 3 and unlocked Fireball and Frost Wall and traded the unique gloves so that this build is starting to come together. Straight after that I had the most fun since I started playing PoE2! Now I am on vaccation and the next time I will be able to play is when the new patch has already been launched. Now I am asking myself: Should I just stick with this character on Standard League, have some more fun with this build, finish the campaign and play the Endgame until it starts getting boring? Or should I start over with the same build in the new league and enjoy all the new content (Act 4, Interludes, etc.)? I am not really sure what exactly I would be missing, since the game should still be fun in Standard, as long as I am enjoying my build and improving it, right?

Looking forward to replies from experienced players!

Play new league, fresh economy, new content
You can play act 4 and the interludes with your dawn of the hunt char, which will be moved to standard league.

Abyss will be locked behind the new league. Im also not sure, if the trade improvements will be locked behind Abyss league.
How much time do you have to play?

Fresh leagues are always better, but if time is a limiting factor continue building your previous character in standard to get used to the game.
Play the new league.

It'll have all the fun new mechanics ect.
Well, if you stick to your current path, I assume that you will still be forced to redo act 1-3 in cruel before entering endgame. I might be wrong about this!
Then I would recommend you to redo act 1-3 on a fresh character in the new league, get access to all new content, act 4, interlude acts and play in a fresh active economy instead.
You should consider this your practice run to learn the game, now you can actually play it!

You are wrong about this ;) Cruel mode has been removed, no more repeating Acts 1-3, it will be straight to 4 for everyone.

OP, start fresh in the new league.
😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT.

Well you need to figure out if you want to start over or not. You will be the only person that can decide that. Personally, I play the new league every time we get one. However, I knew that was how I was going to play when EA started.

We get a "fresh economy" for a few weeks and there are a lot more players for a while. If you like seeing people in town and/or seeing an active chat.
My time is quite limited and I am really enjoying the Sorc Build, but at the same time I don't want to miss out on the new features like sprinting, etc. Will those be available in Standard?

The only thing that wont be in standard that im aware of is the Abyssal Mechanic. The devs did mention that they will more than likely add it to the core game after this league.
