"Shade Walker" Abyss mod MUST be rebalanced or removed

Title.
This mod is completely anti-fun if you don't have 7k+ Energy Shield (aka, if you're a life build, you're dead). The damage MUST changed to be mitigated by armour or moved to an element so Life builds can actually survive this un-interactive mod. The damage also bypasses "Guard" (since it's not a "hit") giving Life builds the "triple-whammy". In my opinion -- this mod needs to be removed from the game until it can be adjusted properly because it is the most infuriating and unfun thing I've seen in any ARPG (yes, I'd rather deal with Diablo 2 IMMUNITIES than this...). Every time I encounter this mod and I get killed because the Terrain or a couple small mobs body block me and I can't get out (and CANT HEAL!?), I legit consider shelving the game. Amen to that. I love the new patch, it's addictive and wonderful. But every time I encounter a rare with this mod it feels like a cold shower, like something ugly taking a beatiful thing away from me. I feel like I should probably not play until it's disabled or fixed, but I keep harming my self mentally on repeat, and it makes me honestly feel sick to the pit of my stomach.
I beg of you, GGG. PLEASE disable this mod at earliest possible opportunity! Do not wait until you have rebalanced it or fixed it. It's THAT BAD. |

Agree completely
The combo of teleport, negate all healing and damage that can't be mitigated shouldn't even be possible mods on the same monster, much less all a single mod. AGREE 100% there isn't even anyway you can get damage reduction unless you have an extreme amount of hp.
Who in the development team actually thought it was a good idea for teleporting, negating healing, and damage you can't mitigate? also blinds. |

It probably is the worst rare mod that is in the game right now. I just wanted to stop by to point out it is physical damage over time, and you can reduce the damage it deals by physical damage reduction stat on shields if you happen to be on warrior.

" It is a physical damage over time effect, meaning your armour (AND Guard - if you're using Fortifying Shout/Vanguard support and/or "Encased in jade" Warbringer Ascendancy -- which I am; to all 3 lol) has ZERO effect. Plus it negates your Health potion... Like salt in the wound lol. |

" it doesnt care about your armor, only the specific stat I mentioned that appears on shields. ![]() "additional physical damage reduction" is a different stat from "physical damage reduction" and it applies in a different way - it applies to all physical damage, not just hits like the physical damage reduction you get from armor. Im not saying it isnt high damage or anything, just wanted to point that out for warrior players. as a warrior, I usually have time to get out of it, especially since I have leap slam socketed. I have 3k hp in t15 maps. Most of the time that it had killed me was because I didnt even realize I was taking damage from it. Ah yea, definitely. I, too, have sought out that stat on my Shield (as well as mostly "sitting" on the 10% extra from Warbringer's Jade). It helps, but... I'm not near 3k hp yet so it stings.
The only counterplay is "run". Imagine my shock when my popped my jade guard ability (right after speccing into it, thinking "Ha, I have SOME counter play now!") and as I begin my skill wind ups realize that my Guard does nothing and all that prep time to set up my totems, etc. has literally doomed me because you can't heal... |

This has been the majority of my deaths since mapping, just had it happen like 3 minutes ago. It's so jarring wading through packs with no issue and then in sub 3 seconds you're dead. My gear isn't anything super impressive, at like 2.3k life doing t10 comfortably. Even with 7% reduced phys damage it feels like I'm halfway dead by the time I realize what's actually going on.
