IMO the bigger problem with the game is all deaths feel random.

If you could actually tell what was happening on screen, and the game didn’t stutter at 20 fps while playing on a 5090 deaths would be a lot easier to stomach.

As it stands though deaths in game are too random. They either need to fix that or remove the xp loss.

Guess what? Deads are not random. There is always a cause to it.

Amazing contribution to a comment that makes complete sense and describes exactly what's happening in the game currently... #TrollsGonnaTroll

I swear all I see is requests to make the game easier, simpler and more bland.

Penalty too high, movement too slow, items too rare, boss too hard, maps too big, maps too complicated, on and on and on...
All the while playing content that is the hardest available in the game.

If we removed/reduced these things the 'game' would cease to exist.

Strong agree.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

You'll notice these people never make an effort to overcome anything. It's a straight plea to the devs to make rewards easier to obtain.

I don't think developers should ever listen to this kind of player.

Why? They are not here to play a game, do a puzzle, complete a challenge, etc.. They are here to get a reward for clicking.

If they were here to play a game, they'd be asking how to solve the challenges, not pleading for them to be removed.

Why would you ever design a game for the people who don't like to play it?

Especially since these players have already demonstrated that they think the rewards are still worth it? And ESPECIALLY since they all copy the builds and rely on the solutions prepared for them by the people who do like to play it?

If they got their way, no one would like it - and the rewards wouldn't feel rewarding. It'd undermine the entire game.

No shit sherlock. But if you can't tell what that cause is because your screen is a giant glittery diarrhea explosion that just tanked from 150 fps to 20 fps by an abyss the death might as well be random, because you have no clue what's going on.

Hard disagree. The objective of a "game" is to make it fun.
Is it not?
We are all here "clicking". Removing some of these just makes things efficient.
And how do you know that those rewards wouldn't feel rewarding?

I played poe1 years ago for like, 40 minutes or so....tops. My real introduction to the series came with 0.1 and I came in blind.
Now with 0.3, I feel like I have a decent grasp on basic fundamentals like:
*How to gear and in what order.
*Building on the tree while leveling rather than eyes on the endgame.
*etc.
A lot of people already know this and I "kind of" knew but now i feel confident...to some extent.
I didn't look these things up, it was all trial and error....lots and lots of errors.
That is rewarding to me.

XP loss when you don't know why you died is a manufactured obstacle intended to frustrate the player rather than empower them.
This is a bad design based on ego.
What makes this especially egregious is that there isn't a combat log and I doubt one will ever get implemented.
There is no way they are going to actually show you what is broken.

100% agree

It's one thing to know what killed you so you can learn from the experience, and therefore improve. It's another thing to just die and have no idea why. One feels like a challenge or a problem to solve. The other just feels bad and unfair, especially when you're penalized so severely for something that you had no control over. There's obviously an issue when guys running the absolute best GPU on the market are having issues with visual clarity and frame rate.

What you've done here is a classic strawman argument. No one ever suggested they don't want a challenge, the op even said losing xp for the current map is fine. What people don't want, and has been state numerous times, is to lose hours of XP already earned with no option to recover it.

Instead of actually discussing the reasons given, you decide to think of the worst reasons possible for wanting to change the XP loss and ascribe those to people. It's like calling someone sexist if they didn't vote for Kamala, there is no honest discussion but instead you just want to delegitimize other opinions in the most dishonest way possible.

Strong agree from here too.

If you make poe easy enough for ppl to play, it won't be poe anymore.

I am sick and tired too to see ppl cry "Please GGG, PIMP MY BUILD!" When only thing these ppl should do is to learn how to play.

It ain't that fukken hard. And ppl don't even want to try.
Neden yaşıyorsun?
