And now compare this shit to kinetic bolt: 100%atk speed vs 115% atk speed, 175%damage vs 220% damage, 150% conversion vs 250% conversion.

With KR you shoot, wait projectiles to rain down, create anomalies and then wait for them to detonate, with kb you just shoot and kill everything...
"Old" Kinetic Rain: 145%dmg x 13proj x 1.1 aps = 2073.5 dps of base + 1500 base POTENTIAL dps from possibly 10 anomalies overlaping on a big target (very optimistic, probably 6-7 will overlap)
"New" Kinetic Rain: 25%dmg x 10proj x 1aps = 250dps of base + 1500 potentialy from anomalies. That's, very optimisticaly, an over 50% nerf.

I can accept that maybe GGG made a mistake about the skill info they released earlier and they never truly intended for the skill to be as powerfull. Maybe they always wanted it to be intended as a non-frontloaded skill.

But I cannot for the life of me understand WHY let all the pre-launch week go by and the community plan their league-start based on the "wrong" skill info, just to correct their own mistake 9 hours before launch.

Its a roulette with new skills all the time for the last 10 leagues. "At own risk" only.
Also the skill isnt nerfed that bad. You loose initial hit damage (cause there are some shinanigans to make it OP) not the explosion hit.

What is the change with boneshatter? Does this mean weapon damage doesn't matter or is it just a changed text but no changes in function?

Its a buff. Bc bleed damage does not come from attack damage.
And damage still come from weapon.

You are completely missing my point. Im not saying it's now unusable. Maybe it's still fine. Maybe it's even good. But why let people make leaguestart plans all week? If they needed to nerf it, why w8 until 9 hours before league launch?? This delay by GGG to announce a big nerf to a realy hyped skilled is completely inexcusable for a studio of their calibre. Then again, their calibre isn't what it used to be since Chris stopped calling the shots.

Yeh, we got information before they released anything about the gems. This is the post for gems from GGG.
When you view content before it is annouced by GGG, you have to understand that it could be nerfed untill 1 min till release.
Dont worry about it, its a normal process - go with the flow.

And have some mercy, GGG is on a 2 months schedule - let them work out how and what to do. If you like the game, just support it.
You can of course give some critic, but man, just imagine you put a lot of work into releasing a patch for people to have fun, for a F2P game, you worked ur azz off for 2 months - and than there are only people who complain about that ONE THING they didnt like.
Just please boys. Stop. Enjoy the game.
