I agree that getting scammed sucks (happened to me as well) but don't you guys think you're exaggerating a bit? First of all yes, if you get scammed it is also your fault. I got scammed once, been checking my purchases very carefully ever since.

And 2 - streamers aren't "promoting" it, they're laughing at a bad situation and their own dumb moments, and that's a perfectly normal and healthy reaction. This hyperdrama is not. You lost a virtual item in a game, nobody died [Removed by Support]

i saw this talked about by a streamer on youtube. he said to put ur highly value orbs in another tab so they cant be used.

If you don't see a difference between liking cartoons and calling people "disgusting" because they laugh at a bad situation...yeah, what can I say.

Liking simpsons is one thing but if you start insulting me because I make fun of the simpsons or I make a joke about people who watch it - please do explain how this is ever anything but a sign of immaturity.

Maybe you didn't read/understand my post. All I said was that it is immature to insult (and the other word that support apparently thinks is too offensive) streamers cause they dared make a joke about this whole situation. And it is.

already fixed, you get a prompt if you attempt to buy an item that's different in price from the one you were searching over the trading tool.

It's a bit of hand holding but apparently land mines were widespread enough to warrant this hotfix.

People scammed other people since the dawn of time. I got fleeced with a gemmed gothic plate in D2 LOD in mid 2000's and recently bought a random corrupted Dunes map for 2 div instead of 2c. Scamming isn't new.

Sometimes you just NEED regulation.

I also got scammed for 2 Divine Orbs through the new offline trade system.
Even well-known YouTubers have lost 35–40 Divines the same way.

Let’s be honest — listing items for 2 Chaos but mixing one priced at 2 Divines is not a trade, it’s a deliberate scam.
It’s designed to mislead players and exploit the trust built by consistent pricing.

After farming for two nights, seeing my hard-earned rewards stolen by someone abusing this loophole feels awful.
And the worst part? There’s no compensation, no punishment, and no official stance from GGG.

By allowing this to happen without consequences, GGG is sending the message that deception is acceptable — that it’s okay to profit through trickery as long as the system technically allows it.

As someone who spent over $400 USD on the Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack, I supported this game because I believed in its fairness and integrity.
Now, it’s hard not to feel disappointed and disheartened.

This issue is not just about losing currency — it’s about losing trust in the game and its community.
GGG, please take this seriously before more players lose their passion for Path of Exile.

Still, I prefer current async trade with all its drawbacks over the previous terrible trade system.

another fix could be taking away some quality of life and only use currency in your bag instead of your stash. so you may only lose what you are bringing with you.
