Streamer Client
|
One streamer. One unethical (ethical?) streamer who leaked proof to the media is all it would take to destroy POE forever if that were true. Admitting on a stream to using it would also get that streamer in a bad way with GGG if it were actually true since access to that "special client" probably has some ironclad legal agreements in place before touching it.
The accusation lacks actual proof and puts anyone trying to discuss it in a reasonable manner in a bad way as well. Disproving it is effectively trying to prove a negative. Proving it without actual evidence is an act of futility and waste of time. It is possible. It is also unlikely unless GGG decided to make one of the worst business decisions they could possibly make. The one thing I trust when it comes to business is that they will always put the business and shareholders first. So, if I were to make a guess based upon the absolute lack of evidence on this particular point, I would say it's simply not happening because of the risk/reward proposition of it. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Nov 6, 2025, 10:17:01 AM

GGG is a company, there would be absolutely no financial gain to implement this "client". If you want to sell loot for money, do it directly, lokking at you poe china. Either win time saving features like autoloot or lootboosters or whatever. there is an armlong list on predatory practices used by hundreds of games.
The streamer client is inefficient as hell in that regard. Farm tactics used by streamers to generate currency however are getting done by "normal" folks with the similar returns all the time. the streamer client is a typical expression of envy and entitlement. Just accept you don't invest as much time as those streamers, or accept that you are just not that good. Its not hard. Current Build: Penance Brand

I played 100h + this Season, farm big juiced 8 mod maps with full scarabs, but i dont drop any single DIVINE. Casual gamer will stop playing POE with droprate like this.
This game is just rigged and iam pretty sure that all the Streamer have a special account, its big advertising for GGG. |

You guys forget that everything to do with drop rates and their manipulation in POE1 is a server side thing, not client side. There is no need for a "streamer client". Obviously the server can recognize a specific client playing based on their full account name, and then perform whatever "changes" it wishes. The client would not even be explicitly aware that changes are being made, and so they could not provide any proof to damage the company's reputation.

i dont think there's a streamer client per say but theres devs that can push a burst of luck onto a specific client/player im pretty sure ;)
"oh look ziz is spamming fuses with his big toe lets give it to him." something like that. Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Nov 6, 2025, 5:59:59 PM

Regardless of specific methods used (client, server side tweaks, etc) one thing is obvious: streamers are GGG's main marketing tool. And any self respecting corporation makes sure their marketing looks good. People watching the streamers must be lured in somehow (look at these shiny drops YOU could also get....*wink*).
And there's no need to show proof, or even blow this out of proportion. While morally wrong, it's sadly how the world works. The world is full of "open secrets"; things that we all know are true, but are not allowed to prove. |
