0.4 Optimatization is legendary.

Hi all.
I have same issues. Loading never ending, some bad textures, random game crashes. First I thought it is because of free weekend and high server usage. But now the free time is over and problem still exists. I play on pretty good pc with 32 gb ram and good rtx gpu. Never had the problems before patch. In game settings nothing changed. As before I use DirectX. Please fix the issue GGG. The problem is on the game side, not end user. I am pretty sure. | |

Not my experience. My laptop is handling it better than ever before and it use to get warm to the touch. Now its cool. GOOD JOB GGG

Unexpected crashes were expected from this adjustment because they made multithreading optimizations.
When you mess with the sequence and nature of how instructions are communicated to the cpu you can end up in scenarios where the computational outputs are erroneously written to and/or retrieved from memory because of allocation and/or timing mistakes and they become problem inputs, or they overwrite each other, or a thousand other ways that conflicts and errors can occur. It makes it a fucking can of worms x 10,000 to troubleshoot too because you can have something that the computer did 300 billion cycles ago leave a problem value in memory address for two other calcs that would have normally been done one cycle after another (or close enough) so no conflict would have ever been able to occur until you let them run separately. The funny part about it is that not only can it sometimes result in crashes, but it can also lead to situations where there's no crashing and everything *seems* to be okay... everything except for some occasional super-wrong calculations lol - which can also be hard to notice if you're not paying attention! They're gonna be trouble-shooting this one for awhile I think guys, it's just not an easy thing to fix. Honestly, EA is definitely the time to fix stuff like this because adjusting something like this on a full release would result in cataclysmic backlash so I'm at least glad they've made the effort to get it underway while we're in beta. All that said, my overall performance has been improved significantly in almost every measure and I've had 1 unexpected crash. I only had things fade-in when using FSR. I switched back to NIS and I do not have anymore of those issues. Running 5800X3D, 7800XT, Ubuntu 25.10, 3440x1440, Vulkan, Steam client. Last edited by karsey#2995 on Dec 15, 2025, 4:19:36 PM
