The campaign is WAY too long

I love poe 2, I want nothing more than to make multiple characters and grind the endgame.
But I'm very sad because leveling a new character takes SO long, Is GGG trying to punish players for exploring builds and playstyles? Why would they do this, it doesn't make them money doing this so why? I understand that they put in a lot of effort and made a great campaign and world, but please GGG, the vast majority of players do not want to level a character for this long. Its actually kind of depressing because I love the game but I can't explore other characters without destroying my life over it let me know your thoughts, ty for reading Last bumped on Dec 14, 2025, 4:23:22 PM

They could shorten act 3 a bit; other than that, it's fine in my opinion.

" This is the problem IMO... The campaign is great and you can tell they wanted to make this great expansive game to teach you different parts of the game as well as put on display all the great art work. It was a blast the first couple times. Now here is the problem... forcing it each and every character without allowing for a campaign skip or some sort of stream lined way to get a character to 60-65 which is about where maps start is the bummer. I would have way more characters than I already do if there was some stream line option. What a proper fix to it looks like? Well... that is going to vary an awful lot from person to person. As I see it here are the options... 1. Leave it as is 2. Shrink all the zones/maps by 20% (Also remove nonsense stuff like the Halani Gates get off train to talk to just get back on) 3. Move all the side content that doesn't give permanent perks to an interlude style thing on the side so those who want it can do it, those who don't, don't have to repeat it all 4. Create some sort of "cow level" for players who already completed the campaign once per season and let them just level from kills against giant swarms of monsters that scale with the player level and give the permanent perks at specific levels that is on par with the campaign Any other ideas to improve the experience without preventing those who enjoy repeating it over and over from doing so are also welcome... |

I just think they need to shorten a lot of the zones.
Act 1 is fine as is and should be left alone. The other acts need to be smaller though. Doesn't have to be as small as Act 1 but they can't stay this big. |

I have exactly opposite feeling - campaign is too short and it's over too quickly. Can't wait for more acts.

Act 3 should have ended when you kill the boss at the top of apex. The entire past timeline makes the pace too slow in my opinion. Or they should just cut some areas in half to compensate.

Duration of compain is beyond infuriating for me. I just cant immagine play more than one build in league, just cannot overcome this. Please stop this
