Granted I'm a bit cranky lately and I might have put it in a more pleasant way, but this doesn't invalidate my previous comment: the whole point of an image sharing thread is for the images to be seen. They are not clutter they ARE what the thread is all about. Placing these images in SPOILER tags kills all the fun of the thread IMHO.

If it is such a trivial thing then why edit the posts in the first place? I brought it up because of a related issue which is consistency: forum participants usually expect the moderators to be neutral and not to edit posts out of personal whims or seemingly arbitrary decisions, but instead to edit or delete posts which violate the forum rules. I think that's a safe guess for most internet communities?

In the absence of clear forum rules or general guidelines, it can seem to the forum participants that such decisions are arbitrary, especially if they are not enforced by all moderators alike, and for all similar threads, such as my screenshots thread.

It's all the more confusing to me when topic titles like the tasteless "Fuck you GGG" and rocfor3's "Fuck this gay shit" topic titles are unedited and left, inviting more unnecessary discussions and forum clutter but a thread like this is edited to enforce trivial formatting decisions.

It's my feedback, and it's perfectly reasonable for me to comment and/or criticize on the moderator's decisions in this case. It's not "taken to PM" because this is a community issue. Thank you.

I agree that the spoiler tag is plain ridiculous and inconvinient. After seeing this thread I wanted to link one image to my girlfriend, but couldn't remember where was it posted so I had to reclick all the tags.

I am sorry but as a former admin of forums with 20k+ users for many years I find such an idea absurd in an all image thread.

Besides if your broadband cannot handle a series of such tiny images it won't handle the game either. Also - don't view from your gprs mobile.
