I want to say that most players of Diablo-like games are solo players. This isn't Dota, where you're matched with 4 teammates every time. Most players simply enjoy solo play.
I don't know the situation in other regions, but in the Chinese poe player community, aside from spending divs to have someone carry you through endgame bosses and Asendancy, the percentage of solo players who never team up is 99%. |

Nerfing isn't the answer. Team play is probably fun, if you have friends and they should enjoy it. However. There's gotta be some benefits to solo play also. Don't just leave solo players pounding sand all day. Give us an opportunity to be great.

I understand that choosing to play solo all the time comes with a huge disadvantage compared to group play. But honestly, once I start thinking about it, it just makes me not want to play the game at all, so I try not to think about it. Still, if the developers have any solution or response to this issue, that would be really nice.

Agreed. Furthermore, the reasoning behind GGG’s Hotfix 13 seems to be that excessive loot drops were causing server instability. In reality, this is a direct consequence of team farming. Many players engaging in team farms have reported that when running a fully optimized Temple (roughly 70 rooms), the instance frequently crashes around the 50-room mark. Once it crashes, the map becomes inaccessible, which clearly places immense strain on the servers.
Team farming exclusively benefits a tiny minority and encourages unhealthy gameplay patterns—such as a single player running six accounts simultaneously, or a group carrying five "leechers" who don't share loot but exist solely to inflate XP and gold scaling. The vast majority of the player base farms solo. There is no justification for allowing team farming to have such an overtuned loot bonus that it ends up destroying the game's economy and stability. Currently, team farms enjoy multiple times the reward for only a single share of the cost, which is fundamentally unreasonable. |

To encourage team play there could be slightly higher reward for team farm but it never should be that much. |
