Aye, first time I've seen a patch time given that wasn't NZ time, pretty confusing. Was expecting Wednesday the 5th NZ.
I don't understand why they simply dont put an hard cap on resist instead of nerfing nodes...being immune to anything shouldn't be allowed anyway. 95% caps are pretty common in ARPGs.

Just saying that with the proper gear and node we were able to get 101%fire res so yeah it's rly easy to sustain even with 5000Hp(withtout Kaom's hearth)
Chris and team have created something here that is phenomenal in the online ARPG Game Genre, that's for sure, beyond a doubt. I have two level 80 characters (Freeze Pulse Templar, and Ground Slam Marauder) which I have massively enjoyed :)

I even started a Pain of Arrows Ranger (now level 55) which I never would have done in any other ARPG. Great achievement for POE in terms of options and play-ability.

I have lost interest in the game. But that is my challenge! Not that of POE! This must be crystal clear!

My reasons for loosing interest, mostly end game based in terms of character abilities:

1. My Freeze Pulse Templar (Level 80) seems to be more or less balanced between Life, Damage, and Mana. Took quite some doing, which I am fine with. I dont use any fancy uniques, I just combined all the right items to get decent life, damage. Now FP is nerfed. I don't see FP as a high DPS attack skill, my view only.
2. My Ground Slam Marauder (level 80) only now seems balanced in terms of Life, Mana. But the Damage is really low on the Ground Slam attack Skill.
3. My Rain of Arrows Ranger has potential but Life and Mana balancing is a real issue. ROA is not a high damage attack skill (my view,a gain)so you need to sort of spam it a lot, which is fine except for the mana issue, which you need quite a lot of.

In the case of the Ground Slam attack skill maybe the melee physical damage increase in the new patch could keep my interest. I don't know, will have to see.

In the case of the Rain of Arrows attack skill maybe the clarify increase will resolve my mana issue. I don't know, will have to see.

In the case of the Freeze Pulse attack skill nerfing it does not make me happy. In my personal opinion it is nerfed to get players to use more of the other base attack skills. In my case I have been experimenting with Rain of Arrows, but beyond that other attack skills does not interest me personally, nor does it suit my ARPG play style or preference.

So be it! Like I said this is a fantastic game and I am to this point amazed with what GGG has achieved.

Thanks to GGG for being able to keep me playing for such along time :)

meaning all is ES and some is covered by life ?

when you have 3k ES and 1K life the status of your ES becomes more important :)
also a CI build should only see a tiny red sliver of life.

Elemental Adaptation has been reduced to 2% maximum resists. More changes to maximum resistances are coming in the future. The intention is that players cannot hit 100%.
Diamond Skin and the renamed Diamond Flesh notable passives have been reduced from 15% to 12% resistances.


Why dont you just make max res 95% somehow and make it impossible for those few players (who sacrificed dmg, hp, es or whatever to go all over the tree to hit 100%) and leave the rest of us alone? :'((

Inner Force has been reduced from 18% increased buff effect to 12%. The other increased buff effect passives have been reduced from 6% to 3%


you can remove it now. Those were usually taken bcs there is nothing else to take at lvl 85+.

I think you can also remove Elemental Adaptation. 5% was decent for a skill point, 2% is a waste for most.

that actually is a fix. Shit is way way overpriced in standard league. That's only good for rich players (to get richer) and RMT. Give regular players without 300/200 MF a chance to use at least some of the gear that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. Gear that was 1-2 gcp in CB is now selling for pure exalts.

you are joking right? I took all three nodes last night, my LA went from ~2200 to ~2500. If I took 25% projectile dmg instead (which I was going to respec to anyway) It would have gotten at least 500 more dps. It's not flat out dmg, it's dmg from auras only, and it isn't that big at all. I actually liked those nodes for boosting hatred, grace, haste and discipline. Hatred does get decent boost but it's % reserved aura. Grace is weak even with inner force but it's cheap aura to maintain so it's ok I guess, a bit of extra EV can't hurt, even though it kinda sucks as a design.
As for elemental dmg, well, I will use those 3 inner force points for 3 10% ele dmg nodes. Until those get nerfed too. Then I will probably ditch ele dmg builds and go physical dmg, like everyne else will do, until that too becomes op and gets nerfed to where it is now. Then idk, Grimm Dawn comes out or something...

Then you change the skill, add chaos dmg to it, you don't nerf everyone who is not using RF...Same thing with blood rage. Click CI keystone: free BR. Is it intended? If not, add random ele dmg/s to it, Don't make CI "50% resistance to chaos dmg" ... I hope you get the idea... ;)
