If you meant the dreamfeather bonus, it won't work on damage over time.

I've never played any BL2, but after a few people mentioned it I went to look it up.

Some design perspective on this item: one of the initial versions was to make the wearer more susceptible to every elemental status ailment and that while affected by an elemental status, the wearer can channel its power (chance to cause that elemental status, more damage to that element, proliferate the status to nearby enemies, etc). This led to numerous issues, many of which were resolved by narrowing it down to a single element.


I still like how it turned out. Especially interesting on reflect maps - if I'm using arctic armour and incinerate/firestorm there's still a chance to ignite myself eventhough the burning damage taken would be really low, meanwhile getting a 20% cast speed bonus!

It's no wonder, really, it follows a very similar theme as Krieg's 'hellborn' build. The passives in that tree enhance burning and provide bonuses while on fire but also give you a chance to ignite yourself every time you ignite an enemy.

I like the unique, good job.

Really a great unique design; the only sad thing is that it will surely cost a hell lot on the market.

Regarding duel-wielding Dreamfeathers, I did a little calculation experiment.

Premise: We take the high-end gear that gives us the most evasion, use grace, take all the evasion increases from the tree and see how it adds up with Dreamfeathers. (No aura increases or frenzy charge evasion increase used). Rough values are used. This is just used for estimating how high the evasion ceiling goes and how much we can get out of Dreamfeather.

Rings: 2x 150 eva
Amu: 20% eva
Armor: 2100 eva
Boots: 625
Gloves: 500
Helmet: 900
Grace: 2016
Passive max: 403% eva, 112% armor/eva
250 dex: 500 eva, 56% eva
Dreamfeather: 1% increased attack damage per 450 evasion rating, 190 eva

2x Dreamfeather: 7321 base evasion, 49123 evasion after % increases.

49123/450= 109
Dreamfeather x2 = 218% increased attack damage

I'm not saying doing this is viable, as you need at least about 70 skill points to grab all those increases from the skilltree. Furthermore, this is all based on close to the highest value of evasion on gear so getting that high might not even be realistic to begin with.

But 226% is an interesting number none the less.

(Please tell me if my calculations are off)

EDIT: On a side note, 51237 evasion should give us, against a level 77 monster with around 550(?) accuracy, an evade chance of: ( 1 - 550 / ( 550 + (51237 / 4) ^ 0.8 ) ) * 100 = 77,8%
With 40% dodge that leaves us with ( 1 - ( (1 - 0,778) * (1 - 0,4) ) ) * 100 = 86,2% chance to avoid taking damage altogether. If an attack ever hits, it is very unlikely that it'll crit. As for spells though... Well, with Atziri's Step and Phase Dodge we get 46% spell dodge right off the bat. Maybe it would be worth sacrificing some evasion for spell block though.

EDIT2: I just threw this together, and I'm not saying it's optimal or anything, but something like it might be a way to do a duel-dreamfeather build. It's for discussion mainly.
