When your ignore list is full

I can't speak for the OP but my ignore list is almost full and it's no real users it's the damn spamming bots... they need a report feature for them as soon as they whisper not ignore REPORT and get them banned.

I'm beginning to dread opening global or trade chat because 3/5 whispers are from the same silly online RMT bots.

The shit is depressing you block one 2 more you block those and they slow down but yesterday alone 11 names :|

Eleven... it's ridiculous.

Patch 1.0.2 will introduce the ability to report whispers, which will allow us to get the rmt bot whisper spammers under control.

There's the /dnd command, which blocks all whispers. Otherwise if you're getting spammed/harassed by players, I'd recommend clearing your ignore list and then adding these new offenders to it. While I understand you already have people ignored, some of those could be bots, or inactive players. If all else fails, screenshot what's being said and email us the details at support@grindinggear.com, and we'll take it from there.

There is a reason we ignore people, it is because we don't want to interact with unsavoury characters.

Do ignore lists really take up that much space that you have to add a cap to them? Or do you have another reason, if so please enlighten us all.

WOT? All I said was "Try to get a long with people instead of muting everyone".

pls no ban
A big step in the right direction would be if you were unable to have someone on friendlist unless both parties agree to it. Currently the friendlist works as a stalker list since you can stalk whoever you want without their consent.

I have 0 people in my ignore list "roll eyes", how the hell do you even reach the cap...?

I never get whispered by bots, i don't get raged at and i thread people with respect that i encounter.

Give it a go?

I also don't trade, very rarely i do but negligible, must be why i don't get bot spammed i think.

Do you hear the whisper bots?
The whisper bots are near.
If you hear the whisper bots,
Then turn away your ear.
Do not hear the whisper bots
Whatever else you do.
For once you've heard the whisper bots,
They'll stop...and look at you.
One year later, this is still a problem. I never had much spam from bots, but with the advent of the Masters, I tend to mute people that fail missions for everyone (intentionally or by reckless behaviour, like in Vorici missions) or hop around when someone offers a free lvl8 run (when you only offered a free 7...)
Also, even if a spam barrier seems active, I ignore people that have to post their great offers in trade chat everytime someone else has said something, or use extremely spacious adverts (many do both, so that's very efficient). Well, I just reached the "your ignore list is full" message and I need a solution for this. Clearing everything without looking at the individual account names and their ignore date (from up to the beta phase?) is not an option.
How do you get a deleted username?

Lol I bet you offended too many ppl. Learn to make love not war.
In most cases its better to start a new thread when the old one is so old (it can be confusing to come in on the end of a 12 month old discussion, and any baggage that comes with that). I believe the limit on the ignore list is at least a couple of hundred and the best advice we can give still is to save space and not use the function for spambots (report those for us to deal with instead).
