Does crit work with traps

i have been using power charge on critical with my traps and i never get a power charge. Why is this?
If you ever make an ice dual totemer, cold snap traps are godly. They bypass cold snaps normal cool down and do loads of DPS and extra freezes.

This is because traps are actually their own entity, like minions or totems: they just happen die when they go off.

In other words, it's because your trap's getting the power charge instead (well, it would if it weren't dead).

Traps have been reworked recently, they cool down faster and you start with a full amount on zoning. They're much more viable now!
