" It is risky. But as said, getting +1 level is rare. level 3 empower is worth like 7 ex or so, level 4 empower is worth like 90ish ex or so. Except for the fact that due to the XP needed, it might never become a 3. Now it is.

EDIT: corrupting level 2 empower is similar to corrupting level 18 or 19 standard gem. No one does that, unless of course you want to lose potentialy powerful gem. " You seem to misunderstand something. Many people are simply not capable of getting a level 3 empower within a reliable amount of time. It takes 10 times more XP than 19->20 gems. 5 times more if fully qualified. So after all that time then you get a level 3 and you have a chance to completely delevel. If it's useful for your build that's a huge risk after spending all that time. Of course that's why level 4 empower is so expensive but it's also the reason many would corrupt a level 2. They want the level within a reasonable amount of time. To make it clear, it might take many people over a month. Others can possibly never get it. You're doing over 1000 maps to level empower, just consider that.
