Does my gem setup suck? 2.Also my evasion seems kinda low, any idea what to improve on my gear/passives? And of course any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. | |
1. it's the right setup. Don't forget you have a 5% crit bow, so it scales less than with a harbinger. Compared to your TS, TS has a nice tooltip because you use PtL/WED which increase damage a lot.
2. not much you can do for your evasion with that chest and gloves. On passive you probably have all the eva/lifes nodes already. The next good ones are Survivalist and Cloth and chain clusters. Little optim: you can swap Hatred and Vaal Grace, then remove increase duration from your boots for another gem like a war cry (you don't really need an increased duration clone, do you?) So, I was looking at JaatiRis' Skill Tree and I came up with this Passive skill tree build which is what I'm aiming for, at level 100. I will regret the nodes that differ from my tree later, probably once I reach level 100, since every single skill point here is weighted and pondered.
Bandits: Oak/Slay all/Kraytin I like movement speed, yes. Had to share this idea with you, I'll definitely look forward to this, since I really want to try that Graceful Assault node, and I like high movement speed as a reliable source of damage mitigation (it's actually my very first source of mitigation), because we want to stay away form the combat to don't build up entropy that would eventually get us hit, right? /oos Last edited by Xcava86X on Nov 15, 2015, 8:58:09 PM

i have some questions about the build.
didn't changed anything for like 4 months. guess i'm not up2date. still playing with drillneck and probably old gem setup. normal atziri isn't a problem. i tried uber, but got asskicked. i want revenge! i have a decent bow/chest, but crappy rings etc. switched to arctic armour cuz i'm very squishy. tooltip dps on punct is around 42k and 30k on TS w/o any aura running. i wonder if i would have some more DPS with another gem setup or any skilltree changes? hope you guys can help me. life: almost 4k eva: around 11500 auras: arctic armour, hatred my gear:

I see you have Reduced Mana linked to 3 auras: are you aware that since 2.0.0 Reduced Mana no longer reduces the mana reserved, right? We have to use Enlighten now.
Also, I think it would help immensely to get some Panicked or Seething Life Flasks. /oos Last edited by Xcava86X on Nov 17, 2015, 1:16:17 PM

@Xcava86X : about the tree linked above, I don't like it much to be honest. Life is too low imho, especially for HC. Also, consider Hematophagy instead of Vitality Void if you want a leech cluster. But from my experience, such a cluster isn't need as an archer.
It's up to you in the end. @sn3kox: First try to find a high life belt with 3 res. If you're tight on str, you will have to go for a heavy belt, else try to get a rustic sash. Ex: link. You can get sensibly more life for even cheaper if you go for a leather or heavy belt. Quiver is meh, you can surely find a better one for a couple of chaos only. If possble, target one high res only here. Res compete with crit rolls that are very welcome here. Look for life, crit multi > 30, 1 res > 30 and ideally a free suffix so that you can craft crit chance. ex: link, some of the cheapest Spike-Point or Penetrating arrow quivers below 5c are pretty good. Amulet: look for intel or str/intel implicit. Onyx implicit is a trap, it gives low str/int which you need very much, and you don't care about dext. some ex: with crit multi, or with flat phys. It quickly get expensive with both... You can also get life from your prismatic ring instead of flat damage. etc. @andyTHEclown: - Recolor your bow to 4G1R1B, remove pierce and add added fire. This will give you more damage and is also more versatile (can easily play wed if you want to change skill or want to try phys 2 lightning, can play lgoh on reflect maps, etc.). But pierce may still give you more clear speed, so ymmv (I don't really know, I haven't tried much TS/pierce with drillneck). - Puncture setup: definitely replace pierce by slower proj for a huge damage boost. I would also recolor to 3G2B to add crit multi. You want hard hits with puncture, not fast ones (faster attack isn't really needed). - Tree: it's already quite dps oriented. I wouldn't push it further in that direction (you could take the last crit nodes, i'd rather get the missing life nodes 1st). - Rings: this is where you have room for damage improvement. But they cover a lot of your res so it won't be easy to change them for diamond ones. - Quiver: a good rare quiver will give you more damage then Drillneck. Aim for a Spike point quiver with crit multi & double crit chance (implicit + suffix), or for any other with legacy crit multi. Ranger builds list: /917964
