Thank you.
Also, if i choose puncture instead of frenzy, am i still supposed to get all those frenzy charge nodes?

Yes, if you choose to use blood rage, which gives 25% chance to gain frenzy charge on kill

Hi guys,

Currently a TS ranger level 71. I need help in improving my dps. Most of my gear are crap but I just want to have an easier time killing mobs. I have a 5L infractem and following neversink's gem setup, here's what I got:

I only have around 4800 dps with hatred.

Is PTL-WED still good? Should I change it to something else?

I'm also having problems with mana. I don't have drillneck nor thief's torment unfortunately.

My crap setup
Spoiler

Thanks in advance!
Remove infractem, really, it's a 200 pdps with huge drawback. And without Drillneck it is just a huge pile of crap.
You can find 5S/4L 300 pdpps Lioneye's Glare for 5C in standard, it will be much much better. If you prefer a rare, look for bow with at least 7% crit chance and around 250 pdps for a starter. Entry price is 5C for 4L. For 4L setup: TS, GMP, PPAD, Faster attack or added fire.
PtL / WeD is a good setup for dps but it lowers your leech very sensibly (since half of physical is converted). It can be hard to play so I don't recommend it.
For your mana issue: get Spirit Void cluster on tree. If it's not enough, get a jewel with mana leech and 2 mana on hit.

boots: you really need move speed, especially with those gloves. Again it cost only a few chaos: ex.

Body: a cheap 5L eva chest with life and res. ex, or a unique chest like Daresso's Defiance, Hirry's Ire, Queen of the forest or Belly of the Beast if you manage to get enough res elsewhere.

belt: very high life, 2 or 3 res, str if needed (it's a good slot to get str, even if it cap you to two res). Ex.

Helmet: high life, high eva, 2 res, intel or accuracy (you need to decent accuracy roll on gear to be comfortable) or a third res. ex.

Quiver: preferably flat physical or crit implicit. Crit multi > 30, life, leech. You can still keep your for some time (but not much, it's still crap).

Foe Loop ring: it's not bad. Once you've purchased everything you need, craft life on it with Elreon bench (up to 44).

Amulet and other rings: they're meh at best.
- amulet: best implicit is intel/str or intel. Try to get crit multi on it, and/or flat physical. As usual for the other mods: life, leech, maybe one needed res. This will probably be your more expensive upgrade if you want a decent crit multi roll.
- other ring slot: use it to get whatever you need.

reminder: you need 109 str and intel to be able to use most common red/blue gems. Notable exception: 155 intel for HoT.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my character! You're a gem. I'll start browsing the shop for a good lioneye's glare right now. Just a follow up, for a 5L, what would you add?
You have various options:

most paper dps, and most real dps unless highly resistant mobs. less leech, high shock chance due to high lightning damage:
TS, PPAD, GMP, PtL, WED

next most paper dps, which is a decent option. It makes any form of reflect easy. But highly fire resistant mobs will take longer to kill.
TS, PPAD, GMP, AFD, WED

more crit, more status ailments (especially freeze): TS, PPAD, GMP, AFD, Increase crit chance or pcoc (if 4 power charges)

Some would argue for a full green setup: TS, PPAD, GMP, FA, SP.

I'd go for 3rd or 2nd setup. I don't like the full green with slower proj. Slower proj slow down TS too much to my taste.

For single target on 4L: puncture, ppad, increase crit chance, slower proj or increase crit multi.

I've been playing a variation of this build for quite some time. I've finally got some currency banked up that should allow me a good upgrade, so I wanted to ask opinions which way I should go.

Here's my bow, and my chest:

Which might be better to upgrade?

My bow is a little low on DPS, would it be worth spending 12-14 ex on a 5L ~350 dps Harb?
Edit: or maybe save a little more and just get a 6L ~350dps Harb?

-or-

Would a 6L chest be money better spent? Also, is Daresso's good or would a decent rare like the one I use on another char be better to attempt to 6L?

IGN: Bahnzo <--- that should find me.

What's a good gem combination for frenzy when using drillneck? (5L and 6L)
So I was rolling for BBBG on my Maligaro's and got RRRR. I wanted to put COH/WM/AM/HOT.

I read the guide say RRRR is really hard to get, so should I keep it as it is and run CWDT/IC/EC/ID?

I'm running this CWDT setup atm:

Not sure if Ice Golem or Enduring Cry will be better. Advice please?

EDIT: Apparently EC doesn't work with CWDT anymore. What do I do with these RRRR gloves :/

EDIT 2: Is it a good idea to run CWDT-IC-ID-WM (RRRR) on these gloves and COH-HOT-AM-BR (BBBG) on my helm? Or should I sell these gloves away and buy another? I think the ideal setup for me would be CWDT-IC-ID-Ice Golem (RRRG) and COH-HOT-AM-WM (BBBR). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Those gloves
1. RRRR <- rare
2. Legacy 49% <- Valuable

If you wish to part with your legacy gloves, then you can sell it and you will get a really nice amount for them, then buy another legacy or nonlegacy gloves.

You really shouldn't be using warlord's mark, Assassin's Mark gives crit weakness as well as power charges

I kinda need WM to sustain against reflect mobs though :/ I die in 1 hit against them (13% reflect map, regardless phy or ele). Also, how much more would I get for a RRRR maligaro's? I see people selling legacy 49% for 24ex.
