I like how everyone is bitching about elreon crafting with adding two average tier mods to rare kindaa gg items, but hey, they are just rare. Arent unique items better than rares? Use only unique items and u dont have to craft anymore...

Unique items are not better than rares in many slots, take a crit bow for example.
Depending on build this varies ofcourse.
So good as always!

Sadly, as a developper, I'm pretty sure it is easier to change price than to make an item untradable after a craft.

Skins are already untradable, unsellable, undroppable and indestructible, why not metamods too.

I don't say it can't be. I say it is easier to change the price (just an update on the price for future crafts), than to make "if craft a specific mod (and only this one), add the untradable attribute".
Moreover, it will require to update all existing gear with this mod (need lots of test, and therefore time).
I really hope it will happens. Just not sure GGG has ever heard of this idea.

I am completely against even the idea of untradeable items. I hate it and I dont even trade.

Then why are you against it ? It won't affect you in any way...

Loving most of the changes, looking forward to re-trying Hewrald of Ice.

Two exalted for multiple mods is a dream for a peasant like me.
I dont get the carto box nerf... I understand the nerf to double dipping, but also to the chance of them appearing? Cmon... Cartos SUCK nowadays anyways, now you went ahead and made them basically obsolete.. :(

I very rarely write in this forums, mainly because i am not that much into forum writing. I usually read a the comments though, if something catches my attention.

This Patch is a failure.

i dont say this because it is my opinion (it seems i dont have the necessary insight as a "casual" player who played ~1,6 k hours since the start of the open beta), i say this because i see the amount of negative feedback on related youtube videos, reddit posts, forum feedback and personal communication in game.

when you "balance" something, there is usually one group that is upset by the changes, and one group that is happy about it. it is like this here too. problem, and the reason why i say this patch is a failure, is, that the quantity of negative feedback, and the quantity of positive feedback are, simply put, worlds apart!

in 24 pages of comments in this thread, i counted 3!!! people supporting these changes, with at least 30 refusing it. sure, that itself doesnt mean much. but if you put it into context, the picture it draws is not very fortunate.

all those 3 guys supporting the changes clearly stated that they are part of the heavy playing not casual group of poe players. for those people, it is possible, and "easy", to farm 4 exalted orbs "self-found" in a 3 month league. as many of the so called "casual" players stated, it is not uncommon to expect 1-4 exalted drops or less in a whole YEAR of playing.

those are all personal experiences, and as we all know, personal experiences are usually all but accurate. BUT: the huge discrepancies in both arguments should give you, GGG, the urgent need to check your statistics!

i have personally found around 4 exalteds in my entire life (which means around 1,5k hours of playing time). that would equal something of 0,0023 exalted orbs per hour. even if you played 10 times that amount, which would be ridiculously much, it would equal to something around 50 exalted orbs since open beta release. of course i didnt count in the rest of the currency which is the main bulk of your wealth, just for simplicity reason to give some easy relations of how rare exalted orbs really are.

now lets look at the current prices of some gear. not BiS Gear, just GOOD gear to be able to play semi mediocre lvl 76 or hell even residence 74 maps. Depending on your character you need gear around 2-4 exalted orbs per item slot. that makes for a total of 20-40 exalts worth of gear to be able to play the MID-ENDGAME. with this gear status you cant go atziri and you probably just heard about that mystical uber-atziri that streamers talk about like it is something you just have to find to be able to try it. you cant run hard map mods on lvl 77+ maps, but at least you are able to play most of the content at a decent pace so you are able to have fun and are proud of you character. to progress even further you need to spend absourd amounts of currency, which is fine in my opinion, since you already reached endgame and can now attempt to be part of the best of the best if you like to, or start all over again with a new crazy character idea or in a new league or whatever.

sacrifice of the vaal was a fun endgame addition, it gave to far away super endboss, that all the hardcore gamers needed to have. it added some fun and challenging stuff to everyone too, which was great.

forsaken masters made if possible to play the game without trading in external websites. and lets be honest, the chat trading system is horrible. its unintuitive, you need a shitload of luck to be able to even see something of relevance, and nearly everyone trading there wants to rip you off. poe.xyc therefore gives a trading option that is more secure and professional, and most important, you can find what you want there. it is a external website though, after those many years, why is this still not incorporated into the real game???

to get to the gear you need to be able to reach the mid-endgame (means, maps over lvl 71) you needed to trade, until forsaken masters hit the servers. i am almost certain that you instantly saw new players flooding the game because it made this not at all ridiculous goal of reaching the mid-endgame possible even if you dont dedicate your entire life to path of exile.

you seriously have to to something, GGG, you will pull through with these changes for sure this time, maybe you will survive those kind of changes for another expansion! but you will gradually loose all but you small elitist hardcore gaming community, who dedicate there whole life to your game. i am no expert, but i am almost certain that this will kill your company financially! and i want you to stay strong for as long as possible! i love you! i never loved a gaming company or any game as much as i love poe! it even surpassed diablo 2 in my opinion!

you WILL ruin it if you focus entirely on balancing around those elitists, you HAVE to make your game more accessable to newer players, you NEED a larger playerbase to support you with money.

please consider my words, and those of many others in this thread and outside of it. you created a masterpiece, dont ruin it by just listening to the elite. in the history of mankind, that never worked out, ever ;-)
We have rebalanced Cartographer's Strongboxes.

It would be nice to know what values we can expect. Yes yes, i find 50/sec, so this request is basically for others.

And Elreon, why do you remove the fun ? Its a temp league that goes straight into the garbage bin after 2 months, at least for most of us. Thats.. uhmm, quite stupid.

You guys are fucking assholes, complaining that 2ex is expensive for 2 mods.

Do you guys even remember the times before masters? Getting the 2 exakt mods you wanted could cost 100 ex. (eternals + ex)

Please just stfu and be happy, it's a good patch.

Says player who have all his characters in standard except of few which are under lvl 30. Keep your foul tongue behind shut mouth .
As i said before master's crafting becoming not an option for average player who prefers temporary leagues, have job and cant play in " no life" mode
Good job ruining Elreon for majority of players. As usual for this game, every good addition to the game is ruined by idiotic decisions (or ridiculous RNG).

The price of the "of Crafting" mod (which grants the ability to have multiple crafted mods) has been changed from one Divine Orb to two Exalted Orbs.
