Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary

Hi. Thanks for previous answers.
Currently have an issue where damage bypasses the energy shield completely, resulting in one shot kills to my character. I'm not certain where this went wrong. Can anyone assist?

Just had an Inpulsa's drop but the rest of my gear is trash, is it worth selling to gear up the rest of my character? https://www.pathofexile.com/account/sony/view-profile/KeepOnTuckin/characters

KEEP THE INPULSA'S!! Though I would keep wearing your old armor until you can get it six-linked (wait until you have at least a few hundred orbs of fusing to start trying, though). If possible, farm syndicate to get Hillock to captain level in fortification, then use the safehouse crafting bench to boost the armor's quality even more, as this has a really good chance of reducing the number of orbs of fusing you'll need to blow through to finally get that 6L. Don't forget that you can trade 4 jeweller's orbs to Lani for 1 orb of fusing.

Inpulsa's will dramatically improve your clearspeed, which will help you get more currency in the end. Unless you're planning on abandoning your witch altogether, keep it!

Hello, could you please guide me what should I do withI leveled all 6 arc gems on 2nd weapon slot?

I believe you should trade each one with a Gemcutter's Prism to get the same gem as lvl 1 but 20% Quality. Level up again to lvl 20 and then Vaal to try to get a lvl 21 gem.

Actually, you don't have to. The gem quality guide says that we don't need to quality Arc. Getting quality on Arc only increases the chance to shock, which with conflux from Shaper of Desolation and other sources, means that we don't need more of it.

Spoiler

I'd still do it. The conflux isn't always up and +10% chance to shock flat out on the gem definitely is better than not having those +10% chance to shock. I think the investment of 1 GP and leveling it up to 20 again is worth it.

Personally, what I'm way more interested in is shock effectiveness. It seems to be really hard to get this to 150% to reach the shock cap of 50% increased damage taken. Even on my old version I didn't reach it, although it has an Inpulsa, an eye jewel, the shock effect nodes leading to Breath of Lightning, Elemental focus node and several other nodes increasing effect of non-damaging ailments. Even with all of that I couldn't cap it. It would've needed a perfectly rolled Inpulsa and several other pieces of equipment with shock effect to reach it.

So I really wonder how it's possible with this version of the build, that doesn't even take most of those nodes in the skill tree anymore.

Or is it really not that important?

Spoiler
Hm... could you explain a little more what is happening? What exactly is it that one-shots you? Is it the spikes from the porcupines? Something that deals chaos damage? How much life and ES do you have exactly? Could you make your characters visible in your profile?

I'm not a pro, but as far as I understand it, the Energy shield isn't shielding life anymore anyway. Because of Eldritch Battery it protects mana instead. So of course if you get hit, a portion of the damage (Mind over Matter redirects 30% to mana) will always hit your life directly, since there's no Energy shield protecting it anymore.

Otherwise, afaik the only damage type that bypasses ES is Chaos damage. How this exactly plays out in this build, I can only assume. Since we have almost no unreserved mana, I guess the chaos damage goes 100% straight to life then, since the redirection of 30% to mana from MoM doesn't do much if the Chaos damage bypasses all the precious ES that effectively is our mana.

Since I can't see your chars, since I don't know what content you're doing and what exactly it is that is killing you, I can only speculate. I guess you might not be using the Immortal Call setup or somehow the amount of life or ES is not enough or something like that. How about other damage mitigations? What do your resistances look like?

Then again, there's stuff in this game that simply one-shots you if you let yourself get hit. Especially some bosses are perfectly capable of doing that to a build like this. Some map mods also can make your life very hard.

I'm also not using the Immortal Call setup yet. And whenever I meet porcupines, I'm basically f'ed. The only way for me to deal with them for now is by using my Storm Brand. I drop the stuff and run 2 screens away so to not get hit by those nasty spikes. But more often than I'd like, I'm zooming through a map, crash into a pack of them, muscle memory clicks left mouse button and it's over. I lost count on how many times I died to those things.

Ah... then it's just to Vaal it to try to get lvl 21.

Awesome build. I'm having a bunch of fun with it.

In regards to your buying guide, specifically for gloves "to run a 6L Lightning Spire Trap", I have a question. Let's say we do get gloves that have one of the Trap supports on it, like Advanced Traps; should we then ditch the Advanced Traps support gem in the setup and swap in some other support gem? Or add in another trap gem?

Anyone have an answer on this? I'm fairly certain that if you have gloves with Advanced Traps on them, we can drop the Advanced Traps support gem and add in aother support gem. I think that would mean one of these: Multiple Traps, Charged Traps, or Cluster Traps.

Multiple Traps and Cluster Traps allow us to throw a more traps out there: 2 more for either, but with all traps being at 50% less damage (for Multiple) or 55% less damage (Cluster). So, if we throw a bunch of traps all together, we get 150% (for Multiple) or 135% (for Cluster) of our trap damage; this is great for bosses that don't move around much. Or we can spread the traps out further to always have good coverage for bosses that move around a lot.

Charged Traps seems less interesting.

Does anyone have a feel for which is better, Multiple or Cluster? Or am I way off base here?
