Now the problem would be when I switch to Kaom's, I have to drop a gem setup. The one I would drop is CwDT/IC setup, since the fight has too many oneshots already that the CwDT proc won't save us, and the fight use little physical damage too. For Storm Brand users, sorry but you either have to drop it or use Hungry Loop setup. Then you have to swap the Lightning Spire setup to your weapon slots. This would mean dropping Advanced Traps Support and it'll hurt the cast speed, sadly.



Also, I'm thinking of upgrading my gloves to insanity gloves, but that's for much later crafting and isn't really necessary for this preparation.


Hold on! I derped about the Lightning Spire Trap setup, we don't need to change that one, but we'll gonna shuffle around our golems and auras in order to fit them. We still be dropping Immortal Call or Storm Brand tho.

I have the golems and flame dash in my boots, and in order to fit them I would need to sacrifice either flame dash or decoy totem. I don't know which one has less use, thought of decoy totem because elder/shaper cannot be taunted, but there's the adds to account for too. Flame dash... has less use, since we use whirling blades most of the time.

Hmmmm... prepping for this is real hard.

Any thoughts about switching this build to a PS4 version of PoE? I'm currently making some tests and I figured out that I can use only 8 skills.

BTW. Are daggers mandatory? I use wands with flame dash and I can't complain.
Is this HC viable build?

Couldn't agree more. My thoughts, for what they're worth:

DEFINITELY drop decoy totem. The adds are the least of your worries by far. They really only exist do we can recharge our flasks. You'll still be dancing around the screen, dodging balls and shards, but your intermittent arcs will be more than enough to take care of the enemies.

Flame dash is still a must for emergency retreats in this fight. It's noticeably faster than WB, has a lot more range, and lets you move through enemies and degen zones unscathed.

Presumably you saw my response to your last post--I truly think Hungry Loop is an absolute must because of all the extra DPS and agility the buffs provide. I'm sure there are others who disagree with me, since Mark of the Shaper is so damn good for this build, but I would rather lose that than storm brand.

Certainly agree that your should drop the cwdt setup like you originally said, but I do have to correct you on one point: there are definitely a lot of attacks that deal significant physical damage in this fight (e.g. the teleport slam/clap from either boss). Not that there's much we can do in the way of mitigation, anyway, but just wanted to set the record straight.

Also, tried the fight again twice more yesterday with no success. I'm getting better, but still haven't lived to see the last phase.

Also, mini-exploit/tip: if you die during any of the 3 add phases, you can wait them out on the death screen (I think they're about 20 seconds each)! You'll have a bunch of enemies to zap when you reenter the arena, yes, but killing them quickly is way easier and less dangerous than dodging deadly projectiles from invulnerable bosses for 20 seconds. The elder portal adds do NOT drop permanent degen zones the way that the ones that spawn every 40 seconds throughout the entire fight do, so you don't have to worry about that.

Waiting at the death screen until the coast is clear can also save you from some really stupid avoidable deaths; for instance, if Elder is doing his expanding circle when you die, wait until the attack detonates and finishes before you click return to town, or else you'll be walking right into that same deadly mess when you reenter.

Despite those little tricks, still no luck this league...anyone else have any nuggets of wisdom they can share?

Edit: also realized I am not making use of fortify via WB. Getting in the habit of doing this could really help with damage mitigation.

DUDE. I am pretty sure that WOULD work! I am planning on doing some labyrinth farming tonight, and as soon as I'm able to verify, I'll post my results. But theoretically, I think you're correct, and, if you are, you just found a really easy way to improve this build even more!

Edit: wording is "140% increased minion damage" and not "minions deal 140% increased damage". This leads me to believe that modifier only applies to the clone and isn't global. But I will still try to test it to be sure!

Definitely sounds as if it only counts for the minion clone, but I guess it's worth a shot to know for sure.

Hi,

I followed the current build and i am so squishy ... i cant solo anything from maps to memory. I made my character public. Can anyone help me and point me out whats is not working for me.

I am about to give up and regret all passive and restart and follow an other build.

any help appreciated.
