Are there any high lvl Enki's witches? Can you show your gear? I'm currently at lvl 92, 4.5k hp and 2.5k mana and it's painful to play.

I'm doing pretty well for myself this league, but I'm playing an Elemancer version of this build rather than Enki's pure one, so my gear isn't a good model. However, if you make your characters public, we can take a look and advise!

Thank you for your reply!
I made my character public. I think I lack damage and hp, any advice? The only way for my character to kill someone strong is to warp non stop and pray. Almost every attack from the bosses just oneshots me.

I think your assessment is accurate. Reviewed your gems and gear, and there is definitely some room for easy improvement. After looking at your characters, I'm surmising that you're new to PoE; you've clearly absorbed the game, read the guide, and have a good understanding of the core mechanics of both. The following assumes you are on PC realm and are able to trade freely!

1. Many of your your deaths are because of lack of mobility. At your level, you really need boots with 30% increased movement speed and a helmet with the decreased Lightning Warp duration enchantment. In particular, Eber's Unification isn't really helping you that much, anyway, so start with a helmet that has that enchantment and get life, resists, and mana on it, either as-is or through crafting. This is the lowest-hanging fruit.

2. You can improve Arc damage by upgrading quality on many of your gems using the GCP vendor recipe. You are probably already aware of this, based on some of the gems you have, but it still bears mentioning. Yes, gems go back to level 1, but it just takes a few hours of play to get them functionally back to where they were.

3. Similarly, trade for a level 21 Vaal Arc. Quality doesn't matter. Having the burst damage and subsequent buff is a significant DPS boost in boss fights and other tough spots.

4. Get a Shaper's ring with Assassin's Mark on hit and replace Oskarm with gloves that have good resists, life, and mana. This will also help survivability a lot. You are obviously heavily relying on your rare ring for resists, but between new gloves and a new helmet, you should be able to compensate.

5. Similarly, you should be able to find a Stygian vise with better life and resists.

6. Your life flask has the right mods, but you will be way better off with Enki's recommended base (eternal, not divine). The recovery rate is much quicker.

7. One of your weapons has a Spark setup instead of a CWDT/IC setup. I think you will find the defensive recommendation in the guide to be more beneficial.

8. Generally speaking, you want to aim for abyss jewels instead of regular ones. Good flat life rolls are slightly better than the increased % life rolls you can get on regular jewels, and you really want to get as much increased effect of shock as you can.

9. Once you have the currency, you want to aim for multimodded weapons. I'm sure you're aware of this, but it's worth repeating that the increased damage from properly multimodded weapons helps survivability quite a bit.

Collectively, all of this should dramatically improve your performance.

Thank you so much for this post!
Yes, I'm pretty new to this game, this is my first 90+ character.

I used LW gems in the weapon slot on purpose, 3 gems = 3 sockets. What gem should I add to this mix, if I get a helmet with the LW enchantment?

And thanks again! Time to spend some currency.
@alraianb and @WorderMostFoul
Like WorderMostFoul I have also been tinkering with the buff golem approach (we discussed this earlier on this thread). So just for the heck of it, I took the liberty of comparing my char and WorderMostFoul's chars in pob.

I added the custom belt to implement the golem buffs to pob imports of both characters and quickly slapped Arc into my pob. The result is that dual Shimmeron wands pull of slightly more dps than the multimod staff.
If I optimize my tree for Arc then I get almost 50% more dps.

He has the shock min effectivness 15% * 1.6 = 24% more damage taken. So against very high health targets that will balance out the damage a bit.

WorderMostFoul build is way, way more tankier of course because of MoM and dodge. But all I'm saying is that going with dual Shimmeron's and countering the degen with stone golem regen is a _very_ cheap option for similar damage and less tankiness. Allthough you do get 24% spell block from Shimmerons to balance it out a bit.

I'm not actually playing with Arc though so it's just pob warrior stuff. :)

In any case I killed Shaper for the first time ever with my Orb of Storm + Chain / Ball Lightning build and the damage was very nice. And the clear speed of OoS with Chain is just stupid.

But I honestly am starting to believe that the golem buffs (with stone golem) + dual shimmeron approach is by far the most damage with the least budget if you think the trade offs are acceptable.

Oh and finallly, the golem buff elementalist if the best thing that has happened to self cast builds in a LONG time. That 60% increased cast speed from lightning golem just feels SO good for self cast.

My critical strike chance is only 20.37% in character sheet, is it enough or normal?

My pleasure! Hopefully some of this helps.

To answer your question directly, if you're going to move LW to a 4L, you'd want to add Faster Casting Support. However, you don't need to have LW socketed in your helmet for the helmet enchantment to work; the effect is global. I would recommend sticking to Enki's setup until you feel more comfortable.

That's pretty low, depending on your character level. You definitely want Arc crit chance to be above 50% at a minimum.

Nice, thanks for doing all the comparative work! Sounds like you're a lot more facile in PoB than I am. ;) My Arc shock effectiveness is actually sitting at 150%, so that should be more like 37% increased damage taken. I calculated sustained DPS at just over 800k last night, once I got my equipment all crafted and PoB configured correctly. That's without flasks; obviously burst damage can be much higher. There are, of course, better builds for single-target DPS, but I do think this variant of the build feels stronger, faster, and tankier than any other iteration I've played (every league since Betrayal).

Physical damage reduction is sitting at a cool 40% and can push upwards of 50% in combat with souls of Lunaris and Gruthkul. That's a HUGE deal for this build, which has always been particularly susceptible to physical damage. The golems are also holding their own really well (Empower helps a lot here). I did Uber Elder last night and didn't have to recast a single golem for the entire fight. Meat Shield is also an extremely strong defense with this many minions. I did Hall of Grandmasters a few days ago and didn't die a single time (though I was constantly recasting golems). That's a pretty big deal for me!

Shimmerons provide some very interesting buffs; I was not familiar with this weapon until you mentioned it. I think it could work really well as a budget weapon, but obviously only with the Stone Golem buff. They are certainly a LOT less expensive than my new staff!

How did you optimize the tree to get 50% more DPS than me? Just curious what you had to sacrifice to get there, as I'm running out of ways to push my damage higher.

Overall, definitely agreed that the new buffs to Elemancer (and Liege of the Primordial) are really, really good for us!

Firstly I wanna say that your build is the target to push for. There is plenty enough damage and it's a hell of a lot more tanky. Shimmeron's might be a nice stepping stone though to push to higher tier maps if a player is willing to accept dying a bit more. I love more glass cannony build and hate my self for loving them. :D And sorry for miscalculating your shock effectiveness. Indeed this will push the damage even closer.

Now when I said I optimized the build I wasn't clear, sorry. I meant I optimized the tree of my Orb of Storm build into a more Arc suited tree. It wasn't much, just dropped the 6 AoE nodes I had and changed those into lightning damage nodes and some more crit multi and cast speed and penetration. And this pushed the damage of my build to almost 50% more for Arc. It might be interesting exercise to try to push Arc damage to max with this. It's just that for me, Orb of Storm feels better. OoS just comes alive with chain + enough damage and AoE to back it up and it is so beautiful. :)

I have always been fascinated by Shimmerons and have tried to find builds to use them because of the massive damage they give with 6 power charges for a very low price somewhat into a league. It used to be Arc totems when totems did not proc the degen. And I think now the freshly buffed golem buff elementalist is the best platform to use Shimmeron's on.

Too kind of you! I'd be curious to see your build in action, if you ever post any videos. I've never seen Orb of Storms in full action--as a primary damage spell with additional chains--and it sounds like a lot of fun.

Anyway, the glass cannon thing is so real. All I can think of with Shimmerons is maybe trying for Mysticism for more block chance? But I imagine you've thought of that.
