Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary
" Yes. Most times, they are oneshots. Im really hating "+ projectiles" and hexproof and extra life + liferegen is not that good. Just a tip for all, that are struggelging. Heres my setup I currently play with. Just wanted to say, that I played this build even with mid/low equipment very well. Most important is getting a good 6 link. You can easily start with low ilevel staff (for 25-50c) with 120-140% spelldamage. Last edited by j0hnnyclaymore#4329 on Jan 3, 2020, 4:12:33 AM

Just switched from a Stygian to a Soul Tether, and there is no comparison. Soul Tether seems mandatory for survivability. Soul Tether is sneaky because it doesn't seem that strong early on when you aren't doing much damage, but once you get into mapping and are dealing some real DPS with a 6-link it really shines. |

Thank you for the guide and build.
It was a little rough at first but now that I made some improvements I’m easily clearing T16 maps and bosses. The only thing that’s rough is Drox and The Snake Boss, and the other end game bosses like Sirus. Metamorphs depending on their mods can also be rough but from reading that’s the case for 99% of builds right now. My hope is with the incoming patch they fix Metamorph freeze, that alone will make our survivability skyrocket. Last edited by jayhawk92555#7690 on Jan 3, 2020, 6:26:39 AM

" Oh yes! Its kinda stupid that we can freeze some t15 bosses mid-air, while not a single metamorph boss. And yes I total agree, drox and snake boss is insane. But more the snake boss, Drox is very hard but snake boss makes me running and crying. Dont know what I am doing wrong here, it seems there is no area where you do not get Poison Damage. |

New to the game, can I ask why we don't want to use purity of lightning?

Any tips for Drox or Al-Hezmin would be great for those who have figured them out. Drox just spawns flags on flags for me and Al-Hezmin melts me with the DOT damage.
Everything else through T16 is going smooth. |

" Okay, so I am in definite agreement that Al-Hezmin, Drox, and especially Sirus are overly challenging endgame fights for this build right now. Metamorphs to a lesser extent, depending on what mods you allow them. I've been incrementally tweaking the build and have made some progress, and hopefully my experiences can be of some help to others. Keep in mind that I am in NO way claiming these are improvements over Enki's concept; he is the ultimate authority when it comes to this stuff. The first thing I did was go full-blown Primordial: Primordial Chain, Anima Stone, Primordial Eminence, and Primordial Harmony. This requires the sacrifice of 3 jewel slots and an amulet slot, the main tradeoff being a noticeable dip in life. However, you gain an extra 5 golems, which so far is worth it. Between all the equipment, it provides another 280% increased effect of golem buffs, significant golem life regen, and the actual presence of 5 more minions to act as a distraction and barrier. That ends up being more speed, more DPS, and more physical damage reduction, which I feel ultimately offsets the loss of life. Chaos damage seems to be a bigger concern this league, so I'm considering swapping in Stone Golem for Ice Golem (in lieu of investing in actual chaos resistance, of course--LOL). Golem life sustain doesn't tend to be a problem, even in endgame fights, unless there's high damage over time (chaos/physical) involved. The other big thing I did was put Orb of Storms back in the endgame setup. I have it squeezed in with Culling Strike and Increased Critical Strikes (shared with HoI). It's a lot of extra damage and Culling Strike is just so much easier to apply with OoS versus Leap Slam. I would eventually like to get Onslaught in here, but there's no room right now. Hotkeys: I put the three manual buffs next to each other (Q, W, and Z for WoC, Steelskin/AS, and Focus, respectively) and roll them and all 4 utility flasks together any time I'm about to go for burst damage. Pop Vaal Arc immediately afterward when bossing or doing a monolith. Use the Ctrl + keybindings for all 4 golems and use your secondary weapon setup's keybindings for your auras--this one is a no-brainer! Metamorphs: As long as the map mods are reasonable, I have not had too many problems with these, honestly. Mostly you need to be careful to avoid creating them with the caustic ground and multiple projectiles mods. I also steer clear of life regen any time there's a DPS concern, as it can make tough fights take 3-4x longer than they need to. Extra golems really help divert attention from you here, but the most important tactic of all is--unsurprisingly--to keep moving. Keep your eyes on the green map icon and internalize the cadence of the fights, which seems to be the same for every metamorph, and you should be able to stay one step ahead and out of range of their dangerous rush attacks. You can make the fight go much more quickly if you sustain flasks and Vaal Arc by properly timing them around the adds. Al-Hezmin: by the looks of Enki's newest videos, he has already mastered this fight, so it's definitely not insurmountable. Using Soul of Shakari and being aware of the arena changes are key to avoiding unnecessary chaos DoT. Keep in mind that the triangle in the middle of the arena is actually the ONLY safe zone when snakes are spawning along the perimeter of the triangle; I think some people may be missing that the poison pond vanishes when he uses this move. I would find this fight easy if I weren't constantly having to recast golems dying to poison, so higher DPS is probably the best remedy. Drox: no two ways about it, this one is a real slog. The last 25% of his life takes several times longer than the first 75%, and I don't know that there's any way around that without really big DPS. Use Soul of Ryslatha. His attacks are extremely choreographed--always do this fight with sound on!--so dodging them is usually not difficult if you're paying attention. Like metamorphs, you get plenty of adds to help you sustain your burst damage, so use your potions and Vaal Arc liberally when you see his ES is dropping or down! The banners near the center that cast damage-mitigating proximity shields need to be dealt with ASAP, and I have found that OoS helps me a lot here. The additional golems noticeably help with physical damage reduction, as well as keeping him and his adds distracted. Again, remember to roll ALL your buffs regularly; you need every ounce of damage to finish him off. One way or the other, you want Culling Strike for this fight. Sirus: I have no fucking clue yet how to even approach him without getting slaughtered by the deatomization storms. I really hope they patch them so they don't kill you even when you're an entire character length away from them. Everything else seems very mechanically manageable for this build, with enough DPS and practice, but said practice is difficult to get when you can't even find Sirus in the arena with your life pool still intact most of the time. Wondering if Lightning Warp and Stone Golem might help here. I'm even considering dropping Three Dragons and HoI for this fight and trying straight-up shock instead, but that's a whole other conversation. Hopefully someone found something useful in this post! Above is my current setup. I just started this game for the first time since last week and just picked a build that looks fun. Currently doing some maps but I die so fast. Do you guys have any tips on some quick wins to improve my dps and survivability? I don't have much currency so currently on a very low budget! |
